Operating Manual Electronic Floor Scale M35611
Set up and use of the scale
ADE scales are instruments of high precision. In order to get the most accurate results please read and respect the instructions of the Operating Manual. Insert battery: The battery compartment is to be found underneath the scale. Please use 2 Cr2032 (Lithium) batteries. Use them according to the pole markings. Before first use remove the isolating strip from batteries. Unit function: Underneath the scale you can manually choose the weighing unit by shifting the sliding button to either kg, lb or st. The weight will now be indicated in the selected unit. Weighing: 1. Place and use the scale on a safe and even ground (no carpet). 2. To start the scale tap on the platform. 3. Wait for abt. 3 seconds until the display comes to zero. A short function test ‘8’ can be seen on the display before it comes to ‘0.0’. 4. The scale is now ready for weighing. 5. Please stand upright, avoid movements on the scale and position your feet equally on the platform to arrive at the most accurate weight result. The result is indicated in the display, blinks 2 times and is hold for around 10 seconds. 6. Once you left the scale it automatically turns off after around 6 seconds.
Warning signals: Maximum capacity of the scale is 200 kg or the equivalent in another weighing unit. In case the display indicates ‚Err’ the scale has been overloaded. Always make sure the scale will not be overloaded as a load of over 200 kg may cause unrepairable damages.
Cleaning and Maintenance Useful remarks: 1. Take always the same scale for weighing because due to tolerances during the production the zero point of each scale may vary. However, reproducibility of the weighing result is not affected. 2. The scale is rounding results up or down. Weighing two times and getting two slightly different results means your exact weight is in between the rounding. 3. For utmost accuracy make sure the ground to place the scale is even and solid. 4. To get a reliable statistical weighing result take weight every day at the same time preferably after getting up and dressing. 5. For cleaning just take a damp cloth or common disinfection products. Do not use any aggressive cleaning fluids. 6. Keep the scale away from any influence of water as this will damage the electronic part. To avoid faulty results: If the display is giving faulty results please check 1. whether the batteries have been inserted correctly 2. whether you have chosen the right unit function (kg, lb or st) 3. make sure the scale is placed freely on an even flat ground 4. whether you did not step on the scale before the display indicated ‘00’ 5. If the display shows ‘Lo’ after starting the batteries are flat. Please insert new ones.
