Please read the following information thoroughly before first use. Thank you for choosing our LED Curing Light. This user manual describes the normal properties of the OPTIMA 10 LED curing light. Before first use, please check the accessories of the OPTIMA 10 LED curing light and make sure they are all in good condition. The unit uses a high performance light emitting diode LED as a light source: high power and luminosity are combined with enhanced optical fibers. The high-performance LED curing light unit is used for intra oral polymerization of dental materials, with a wavelength range of 420 ~ 480 nm.

Product description and fields of application The OPTIMA 10 contains a blue LED and is a device that generates light of high intensity to polymerize light-curing materials to be used in dentistry. In contrast to halogen light, which generates a full-light spectrum, it emits light within the wavelength-range of 420 to 480nm. Due to the smaller wavelength-range, the polymerization performance of a LED light, at a certain intensity of light - similar to a halogen light - is related to a higher intensity of light. Although the majority of light hardening dental materials react to this range, you should consult the representative or the manufacturer of the materials in order to be advised on the correct procedures and technical data.

Safety information 1.
This device must be used in strict accordance with the instructions contained in this user's manual. 2. This device may generate a considerably higher intensity of light compared with a previously used device. It is important that all measures and instructions are observed: • Do not target the light directly at or towards unprotected gingiva or unprotected skin. • Adjust your curing techniques to the increased light-curing energy. For example: Reduce the curing time. 3. As with all high-performance lights, high-intensity light is related to evolution of heat. It is recommended to work at intervals of 5 seconds or to use other, weaker modes. For this reason, the light may only be operated by qualified staff members. It is imperative to avoid contact with gingiva, mucous membranes or skin. 4. Persons suffering from diagnosed sensitivity to light or persons taking pharmaceuticals that promote sensitivity to light should not be exposed to the light of this device. 5. Before connecting the base of the charger to the main power, make sure that the power voltage is in accordance with the charger voltage range. Improper input voltage could damage the device and cause risk to the patient and/or the operator. 6. Don't look at the light without eye protection; it's harmful to your eyes. In order to avoid the eyes getting in touch with the light directly, please assemble the eye protector unit. 7. Before use, let the device reach room temperature. Especially when the device has been moved from a cold to a warm place. 8. Never use any other storage battery except the original storage battery otherwise it will result in severe damage. 9. Do not place the device near or use close to highly inflammable materials and inflammable liquids. 10. To avoid electric shock, do not insert any parts into the device otherthen the original parts used to operate the device. 11. It's not allowed to modify the device under any circumstances. Any disassembling or modification will render the guarantee void. 12. Dispose accessories according to the legal disposal requirements. 13. Don't expose the storage battery to temperatures lower than 5°C or higher than 30°C or outside the humidity range of 10%-80%. 14. The storage battery must not be exposed to fire, penetrated disassembled.

Installation of the optical fiber: Insert the optical fiber in the hole of the body, push it into the body with a soft twist. Handle the optical fiber with care, it is fragile. Installation of the shade Insert the shade on the end of the optical fiber. Configuration and function 1. Charging Open the box, take the charger and adaptor out, connect the adaptor with AC 100v ~ 240v power, and connect the DC output plug of adaptor to the DC input plug of charger, then put the mainframe into the socket of the charger. The power indicator normally lights up in red during charging and turns green when fully charged. Charging the device the first time should take about 6 ~ 7 hours maximum. The charger should be taken out of the socket when fully charged. 2. Operation P Power Key M Mode Key T Time Set 01 Full Power Mode 02 Progressive Mode 03 Pulse Mode
Installation and configuration
1. In order to ensure good contact, tighten the body and battery. The unit then tests itself automatically with a buzzer as it automatically goes into "01" mode for 20 seconds. 2. Press the mode key to choose: the LED display will be showing the corresponding mode. Continuous mode: full power Ramping mode: power increase stronger continually Pulse mode: The light flashes during 1 second within the working time. 3. Press the start button to start working, there is a buzzer every 5 seconds as an interval and the curing light goes off when working time has ended. You can use it once again by pressing the start button whereafter you can choose the mode by pressing mode key. Automatic power off: when the unit stays inactive for 2 minutes, it will turn off automatically.

Cleaning and reprocessing 1. The OPTIMA 10 should be sterilized before first use and before each use thereafter. 2. Prior to cleaning, the OPTIMA 10 must be dismantled into its component parts (hand piece, storage battery, light guide rod and eye protection). 3. Avoid the use of detergents or material which contains flammable ingredients unless they have evaporated completely. 4. Use only with adequate cleaning and disinfection. Light Guide rod Note: When removing the light guide rod for sterilization, remove it carefully from the hand piece. Do not bend, as the light guide rod could break! • Avoid contact with hard objects to avoid scratching. • Replace damaged light guide rod • Clean the light guide rod to remove saliva and impurities prior to autoclaving; cleaning should be performed by means of gentle rubbing off of the surface using a cleaning solution and subsequent secondary rubbing with a dry cloth - do not use any metal instruments! The light guide rod can be sterilized for 18 minutes at 135° C and 220 kPa. Hand piece, storage battery, battery charger base • The battery charger base must be disconnected from power prior to cleaning or disinfecting in order to prevent electrical shock. • Use disinfectant cloths to clean the surfaces. Do not use corrosive or grinding cleaners. Do not use ultrasonic cleaning! • Use dry a cloth to carefully dry the components.
