Check the mounting direction of the internal filter.

This filter is designed to prevent liquids from entering the pump. Suction is interrupted if the filter is wet or clogged.

Ce filtre est destiné à protéger la pompe contre la pénétration des liquides. L’aspiration est interrompue lorsque le filtre est humide ou obstrué.

Der Filter soll verhindern, dass Flüssigkeit von in die Pumpe eindringt. Die Absaugung wird unterbrochen, wenn der Filter feucht oder verstopft ist.

Compressed-air connection

Il ne faut utiliser que de l’air comprimé sec, pur, et filtré à 5μm minimum. Cet air comprimé doit être délivré soit par: s le réseau central de distribution d’air comprimé, s un compresseur séparé, s une bouteille d’air comprimé (ISO 7396).

Verwenden Sie nur trockene Druckluft medizinischer Qualität, gefiltert mit mindestens 5μm und angeschlossen entweder: s an das zentrale Druckluftsystem (Wandanschluss), s an einen separaten Kompressor, s an einen Zylinder (ISO 7396).

Insert the connector supplied with the unit into the orifice provided for the outlet.

Check that the air outlet orifice is not obstructed (e.g. plug, equipment leaning against a wall, etc.).

Install a new external filter before each treatment.

Placer un filtre externe neuf avant chaque traitement.

Installieren Sie vor jeder Behandlung einen neuen äußeren Filter.

Connect the external filter to the unit. Then connect the external filter to the collection system using the 7 x 12 mm dia. suction tube and the connectors provided.

Connecter le filtre externe à l’appareil. Puis connecter le filtre externe au système de recueil à l’aide du tuyau d’aspiration dia. 7 x 12 mm et des raccords fournis.

Schliessen Sie den externen Filter an das Gerät an. Verbinden Sie den äußeren Filter dann mit dem Saugschlauch mit einem Durchmesser von 7 x 12 mm und den mitgelieferten Anschlüssen mit dem Auffangsystem.

Suction will be obstructed if the filter is damp or clogged. Have a spare external filter ready when using the unit.

A too high suction level can impair the endoscopic view, collapse the organ, or damage the mucosa.

Replacing the internal filter

Replace the internal filter by a new unit once a year or after every 100 uses or if the filter is contaminated.

Replacing the silencer

Replace the silencer with a new silencer if it sounds abnormal or after every 100 uses.

TROUBLESHOOTING Symptom

s Check system air supply. s Check the compressor if applicable.

Suction too low at the Swiss LithoPump

s Check that air arrives at the suction outlet (large connector). s Check that air suppply pressure is more than 5 bar. s Check the mounting orientation of the internal filter. s Check that the filter is not obstructed or moist, replace the filter.

The Swiss LithoPump jolts in operation

s Adjust the suction level. s The air exhaust is obstructed.

Suction level cannot be reached

s Stop the Swiss LithoPump to allow pressure to reach its maximum output (if applicable). s Possible overheat of the compressor when a compressor is used.

Suction too low with a ultrasound probe

s Use a ultrasound probe with a larger diameter to improve suction. s Check the suction at the hose connected to the handpiece.

Suction too low at the pneumatic probe

s Check the suction at the hose connected to the handpiece. s If the suction is OK, verify the blue colored seals between the handpiece and the LithoVac. s Verify the circular seal on the LithoVac probe. s Verify of the suction line up to the Swiss LithoPump.

The Swiss LithoPump is noisy

s Replace the silencer.
