Heater Plate High-Temperature Cutout: 118 ± 6 °C
1.0 A max at 230 V~
22 V~, 2.7 A, 60 W, 50 Hz
Temperature Control Settings
Three digit 14 mm 7 segment LED, Range: 10 – 70 °C
Accuracy: ± 0.3 °C (in 25 – 45 °C temperature range)
Ensure heaterbase is securely mounted and
positioned lower than the patient airway.
The use of breathing circuits, chambers or
other accessories which are not approved by
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare may impair
performance or compromise safety.
Ensure the 4 in 1 temperature probe sensor
is correctly and securely fitted. Failure to do
so may result in temperatures in excess of
43 °C being delivered to the patient.
Sound Pressure Level: Alarms exceed 50 dB @ 1 m
Recommended operating environment:
Recommended Flow Range:
15 – 29 °C ambient temperature
5 – 50 L/min
> 33 mg/L when display is at 37 °C
> 25 mg/L when display < 37 °C
For optimum humidity performance increase flow.
NOTE: See accessory kit instruction sheet for further details.
Ensure maintenance of grounding integrity by
connection to a "hospital grade" receptacle.
Always disconnect supply before servicing.
Do not touch the glass tip of the chamber
temperature probe during use. Keep black
connectors dry at all times.
Visually inspect accessories for damage
may exceed 85 °C
MR880 Heaterbase Using a damp cloth, clean the humidifier with one of the following disinfectants:
Isopropyl Alcohol, normal dishwashing detergent.
4 in 1 Probe Refer to ‘4-in-1 Probe Cleaning Instructions’ REF 185042788 for details. DO NOT autoclave probes.
CAUTION: DO NOT immerse the heaterbase or temperature probe electrical connections in any liquid.
NOTE: Follow the cleaning agent manufacturers’ instructions carefully. It is the user’s responsibility to qualify any deviations from these procedures,
both for disinfecting efficacy and physical effect on the probe and the heaterbase. See the MR880 Technical Manual REF 185043483 for more detailed
instructions on cleaning.

ATTENTION: Refer also to instructions for use that
accompany each accessory.
On the humidifier (A) push down the finger guard (B) to allow the
humidification chamber (C) to slide onto the humidifier. Connect
tubing (D) between gas source and humidification chamber.
Connect heated tubing (E) to chamber. Hang the waterbag (F) from
a waterbag pole.
Connect the 4 in 1 Probe plug (G) (REF 900MR441) to the black
socket on the humidifier base until an audible click is heard. This 4
in 1 Probe measures chamber outlet temperature, ambient
temperature, flow; and supplies heater wire power.
Push the temperature probe (H) into the hole in the side of the
heated tubing connector. Make sure the probe is correctly located in
its “V” key-way and pushed home.
On the end of the 4 in 1 Probe is the heater wire adaptor (I).
Connect this to the tubing socket (J).
After power on, the humidifier will start warming up. Wait for patient
light (K) to turn off in less than 10 minutes. The humidification system
is now set up and ready for use.
Use only with the following:
• RT241 Heated Delivery System kit
• RT033 or RT034 Adult Nasal Interface kit or other suitable kit
• 900MR441 4 in 1 Probe
Humidifier Stand (eg 900MR292) and Pole Clamp (eg 900MR030)

ON/OFF (Stand by)
The humidifier will power ON if this
button is held down for 1 second,
and must be held down for 1 second
to turn the humidifier OFF (stand by).
HIGH HUMIDITY WARNING
The temperature display and patient light will flash indicating high chamber temperatures. The
humidifier will discontinue all heating until the temperature decreases to within normal limits. Due to
heaters being switched off, the patient will not receive high energy gases. A visual warning will
commence when chamber temperatures are 41 °C or higher.
LOW HUMIDITY WARNING
The patient light will be lit whenever the measured temperature is 2 °C below the intended
temperature. A nasal cannula interface may feel uncomfortable when this warning is active.
If the measured temperature is less than 35 °C for a sustained period of time and this is less than
the required humidity, the patient light will flash and an audible alarm will sound. Check flow is not
outside operating range and the 4 in 1 Probe is inserted fully.
AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
Monitors air temperature and adjusts the heater wire power to minimize breathing
circuit condensate. Keep away from drafts and heat.
