Important Safety Information 1. Intended Use This product is intended to be used for installation, transport and storage of Fujinon EVE 400 system and various peripherals. Never use this product for any other purpose.
2. Safety Read and understand this manual carefully before use. Use the product by following the provided instructions. Items important for the safe use of the product are summarized in Chapter 1 “Safety”. Safety precautions associated with individual operations or procedures are provided separately, indicated by “ WARNING” and “ CAUTION”.
3. Warning Items that must be observed to prevent bodily harm when performing endoscopy and electrosurgery are identified by “ WARNING” and “ CAUTION”. Perform procedures correctly by reading and understanding the warning information carefully.
WARNING Improper use or operation of the equipment may injure patients, physicians, or people in the vicinity. Read and understand this manual carefully before operating this system. Improper operations that will damage the equipment are identified by “CAUTION”.
4. Installation The system is constructed so that only our service engineers are able to install it; installation must be performed by our service engineers.
5. Combination of Equipment The Endoscope may be used in combination with peripherals. To avoid an electric shock accident, do not use any peripherals that do not conform to the medical safety standards.

6. About Clinical Procedures This manual assumes that the product will be used by medical specialists who have received proper training in endoscopic procedures. It does not provide information about clinical procedures. Regarding clinical procedures, use proper clinical judgment.
7. Inspection Before Use Make sure to check the equipment before use according to Chapter 4 “Method of Use,” to avoid unexpected accidents and take full advantage of the product’s capabilities. If the checking results show that there is anything wrong with the equipment, do not use the same equipment.
8. High Voltage The equipment contains high-voltage parts. Do not touch the inside parts except for the specialists.
9. Foreign Matters and Liquid Foreign matters, water and chemicals entering the equipment may cause a fire or electric shock. If liquid has entered the equipment, stop the use of the equipment immediately, disconnect the power plug from the receptacle and contact your local dealer or FUJINON representative.
10. Maintenance The equipment will wear out and degrade after repeated use for a long period. Have it checked by specialists once every six months. Also have it checked if there is anything wrong with the equipment. Do not disassemble or modify the equipment.

Preface This manual describes how to use the system cart PC-410. This product is used with the EPX-4400 system. For information on how to use a system, refer to the respective operation manual.
Conventions Used in This Manual This manual uses the following conventions to make it easy to understand operations. General Conventions Convention

Explains the dangerous conditions that may cause to death or serious accident unless it is avoided.

Safety
This chapter describes the information necessary for safe use of the system cart.

Chapter 1 Safety 1. Precaution in Using the System 1) Inspection before use Make sure to inspect the equipment before use according to the procedures provided in this manual, to avoid unexpected accidents, and take full advantage of the equipment’s capabilities. If the inspection result shows any abnormality, do not use the same equipment.
2) Combination of equipment To avoid an electric shock accident, do not use any peripherals than the ones specified in this operation manual.
3) Installation of equipment Observe the following precautions to avoid electric shock or falling of the equipment. <To avoid electric shock> • Do not take the power for the second cart from the first cart. • Do not use a 3P-2P conversion plug. • Do not connect any other unit than the equipment constituting the system to the receptacle of the cart. <To avoid falling of equipment> • Mount the equipment so that its feet are contained within the stopper.
4) Maintenance The equipment will wear out and deteriorate after repeated use for a long period. Have it checked by specialists once every six months. Also have it checked if there is anything wrong with the equipment. Do not disassemble or modify the equipment.
5) Temperature at distal end When the Endoscope projects light at high brightness for an extended time, the temperature may exceed 41°C at the distal end. Turn off the lamp when you hang the Endoscope on the cart hanger.
6) Disposal This product has heavy metal parts. When disposing of this product, comply with local laws and regulations in your area.

For powering peripheral equipment, please use transformers that comply with medical safety standards. It may cause explosion or fire. Do not use the equipment in atmosphere of flammable gas. Falling down of the equipment or a shelf may injure a person. Be sure to move or install the equipment by two persons.
Chapter 4 Method of Use 4.5 Relocating the Cart The cart, while being moved on an uneven floor, may fall down to injure a carrying person. Be sure to relocate it by two persons.
Chapter 5 Storage and Maintenance 5.3 Replacing Fuses It may cause electric shock. Do not use any other fuses than specified rated fuses. Before replacing the fuses, unplug the power cord from the receptacle.

Installation of Equipment
This chapter describes the installation of the system cart. This product is designed for an authorized serviceman to mount a monitor or install the equipment on this product. Do not install or mount the equipment and peripherals on this product without an authorized serviceman.

Chapter 3 Installation of Equipment WARNING It may cause a fire or electric shock. Use the rated voltage only. It may cause an electric shock. Connect the power plug to the protective earth receptacle. For powering peripheral equipment, please use transformers that comply with medical safety standards. It may cause explosion or fire. Do not use the equipment in atmosphere of flammable gas. [Note] Do not use 3p - 2p conversion plug as it can not make protection earth.
CAUTION Falling down of the equipment or a shelf may injure a person. Be sure to move or install the equipment by two persons.
CAUTION It might fall down. Secure the monitor to the cart. It may cause overturning and damage. Install the equipment on a level location without vibration and shock. For powering peripheral equipment, please use transformers that comply with medical safety standards. This product is designed for an authorized serviceman to mount a monitor or install the equipment on this product. Do not install or mount the equipment and peripherals on this product without an authorized serviceman.

Chapter 3 Installation of Equipment
3.1 Relocating and Removing a Relocatable Shelf (1) Remove the shelf.
(2) While one person is holding the metal support fitting, the other person should remove the 4 screws.
(3) Relocate the metal support fitting and fix it by screwing the 4 screws. If you do not intend to use the shelf, simply remove it.
(4) Fit the shelf onto the metal support fitting.

Chapter 3 Installation of Equipment
3.2 Installing the Monitor (1) Remove the cover by firmly holding the top and bottom of the stand cover on the back of the monitor and the sliding the cover left and right.
(2) Remove the 4 screws that fix the monitor to the stand.
(3) Fix the monitor to the monitor mounting arm from the rear using the 4 screws provided.
(4) Keeping the monitor horizontal, use the hexagonal wrench provided to turn the torque adjustment screw to the left. Stop turning the screw once the monitor is maintained at the same height. The nut below the torque adjustment screw also turns with the screw but should not be held.
