TEE Probe Care Card ENGLISH The expected service life of the TEE probe is 5 years or 3250 (adult) / 1300 (pediatric) use cycles (whichever comes first), provided the user follows the maintenance and care instructions on this card and in the user manual. (6VT-D / 6Tc / 6Tc-RS / 9T / 9T-RS) Immersion process We strongly recommend not to apply anaesthetic sprays directly to the endosope. With the exception of neonate, it is important to use a bite guard during the probe intubation, the examination and the extubation. Keep the bite guard in place until the probe is completely extubated. Rinse the endoscope thoroughly with a large amount of lukewarm running water to remove residual detergent or gel. The rinse should be performed for a minimum of 1 minute. Do not reuse the water. Handle the probe with care. Do not drop the connector or scanhead. Use a disposable scanhead protection cover when carrying the probe. Wipe dry the surfaces of the endoscope with a soft, lint-free towel.
