10. If a voltage Booster is fitted: i. If the input voltage is lower than 205V, the lamp of the Booster will be on and the voltage increased e.g. 205V->220V (15V boosted) ii. If the input voltage is lower than 180V, the operation of the unit will be stop to protect the parts of the unit. (The functions such as temperature indication and alarm, are still operating) 11. In the case that the voltage Booster is not fitted: -If the input voltage is lower than 205V, the alarm sign for low voltage LO-V will show up regularly. (It is advisable that the unit is fitted with a voltage booster). 12. Error indication LO-T: Cold Alarm (If the temperature is lower than the Cold Alarm temperature) * Adjust the temperature lower or please ask our technical department or service centre. HI-T: Warm Alarm (If the temperature is higher than the Warm Alarm temperature) * Warm Alarm (If the temperature is higher than the set Warm Alarm temperature) LO-V: Low Voltage (If the input voltage is lower than 205V) * Please, do not use other electrical appliances and take some actions to boost the voltage. CLEAN: Clean (When the outdoor temperature is above 28oC or the ventilation of the condenser is bad) Clean the dust from the condenser and make sure the cabinet is well ventilated. BATE: Operation condition of charging battery (In the case that there is a power failure) * If the power failure is for a lengthy time, please use a CO2 Backup System or move the contents to a safe place. How to install the CO2 Back up system
1. Connect a temperature resistant tube between the opening of CO2 cylinder and the (4) IN of the rear side. 2. Insert the injection rod of CO2 into the inlet on top of the unit, and connect the rod to the (5) OUT of the rear side of Control System with a tube. 3. Insert the Sensor Line of the Chest Model and Upright Model into the holes at the back and right side. 4. Open the valve of CO2 cylinder and check with soapy water whether there is a leakage around connection part. 5. Connect the power supply. (If the inside temperature of the deep freezer is higher than the set temperature, CO2 gas will be injected. Please, connect the power supply under the set temperature). 6. Put the pressure release valve in one of the empty validation ports in the side of the freezer. This pressure release valve prevents the freezer building up too much pressure due to the CO2 evaporated in the freezer during a temperature alarm. (De-ice this port monthly) 7. Switch on the BATTERY SWITCH *N.B.: The BATTERY SWITCH should be OFF during moving, storage, or POWER OFF. (When the BATTERY SWITCH is on for a long time with power OFF, the battery will be discharged and should be replaced). 8. Switch the ALARM SWITCH on, to activate the alarm signal. When the ALARM SWITCH or BATTERY SWITCH is off, the alarm signal will not be activated. *N.B.: When you replace the used CO2 cylinder, please, use the CO2 cylinder with Siphon Tube, not general CO2 cylinder. *N.B: When the door is open during injection of CO2, the injection should be stopped automatically to protect the user. 5.1.3 How to set the temperature of the CO2 back up system How to set temperature - Push (1) SET SWITCH -To change the set temperature, while you continue in pushing the button (1) SET SWITCH, turn the (3) TEMP.ADJ. to the left and right to set the temperature. -Release the SET at the chosen temperature, the PRESENT lamp will be on and the current temperature of the chamber will be shown. o -The temperature is set to –40 C, exworks, in a standard way. Labcold ilShin

Remarks - If the temperature goes up, because of the failure of power or technical problem, the temperature set to the BACK UP SYSTEM, will be observed. Thus, the damage on the sample in the unit can be limited to the minimum.

6. Service 6.1
Service Troubleshooting
Symptom 1.The voltage of the power supply is irregular - The operating voltage for this unit is 215V to 225V. When there is a deviation from this range of voltage, the compressor cannot work efficiently or cannot operate. 3. When the room temperature is above + 28°C - When the room temperature is above + 28°C, the condenser cannot be cooled. It can be a cause of the fault 4. When the room temperature is under 0°C - The oil in the compressor will be condensed. It can have a negative effect on the operation of the compressor - Each electrical part can be wrongly operated. 5. If there is excessive dust around the unit - This unit uses a condenser which is air cooled. In case of excessive dust around the unit, dust will pile up at the front of the condenser. This will cause the compressor not to work effectively. This is one of the causes of a compressor failure. 6.Under heavy humid circumstances - It can cause a technical malfunction in the electrical applications and short circuit.
Labcold ilShin
Remedy - When used in where the voltage is irregular supplied, please use AVR (for 220V) or the Voltage Booster option.
- If the room temperature around the unit is + 28°C, please open the condenser door and the window(s) of the room to optimise the ventilation and cooling. - If the room temperature is under 0°C, raise the temperature of the room to at least + 5°C
- If there is excessive dust around the unit, the door, which covers the condenser should be opened once a month and the dust filter should be removed and cleaned. Also wipe the dust off the condenser with a soft brush
- Ventilate the space properly by using a ventilator or by opening the windows - An application, which can reduce moisture, will be helpful.

Requesting an Engineer
* Before you call for an engineer, please read the following information: 1. The unit does not operate at all. Check the power supply (230V) Check that the temperature is set correctly Check that the unit is too close to an external heat source Check that there is sufficient air flow around the cabinet Check that the condenser is blocked by dust (Remedy: wipe off the dust with a soft brush) Check if a large amount of new product has just been loaded. (Remedy: this is a temporary fault.) 2. The unit is noisy. Please, check whether the floor is even. Please check if the noise is coming from the compressor. The compressor is larger than those fitted to standard freezers and is therefore noisier Do you hear a whining sound? This unit is equipped with large fan motors that are used for air cooling. When the fan motor is running, you can hear some noise. Do you hear a knocking sound? This sound originates from the parts of the unit, when they are expanded or shrunk. Do you hear water running? The unit has refrigerant circulating and this is what you hear. It is not a technical problem. 3. A layer of ice has formed on the inside wall of the deep freezer Do not overload the unit If a sample contains much moisture, ideally place it in a closed container Please, check whether the door is closed. Please, reduce the length of time the door is left open Labcold ilShin
