Notes on using these operating instructions
Keep these operating instructions somewhere safe close to the appliance so that safety instructions and other important information can be consulted at any time. Please read these operating instructions through carefully before initial operation of HANAULUX blue 80 Hospital. You will then know how to use the appliance to its full advantage and will avoid causing any damage. Use these instructions to show operating personnel the functions and means of operating and maintaining the HANAULUX blue 80 Hospital lighting system. We reserve the right to make technical improvements. Maquet GmbH does not provide any warranty or accept any liability for the marketability and suitability of the appliance for any use except as indicated in the section „Intended use“ of the appliance. Intended use: • HANAULUX blue 80 Hospital is used to light the part of a patient being examined or operated on in clinics and doctors surgeries. • The optimum examination distance is 70 to 130 cm. • HANAULUX blue 80 Hospital is suitable for continuous operation when running off the mains. • The batteries for HANAULUX blue 80 Hospital are used to supply power to the light in the event of a power failure.

Location requirements: • HANAULUX blue 80 Hospital is not suited to use in hazardous locations. • Maintain the ambient temperature of 10°C to 40°C whilst in operation. • The relative humidity must not exceed 75%. Operation: • HANAULUX blue 80 Hospital is designed for distribution voltages of 115V/120V and 230V/240V. Depending on the supply voltage of the country of use, different fuse links must be used. Before first use check the set distribution voltage.

DANGER of toppling: Lack of attention when moving the light, especially over objects / electrical cables or uneven ground can cause the light to topple. • • •
Connect the mains plug to an earthed socket. Use ON / OFF switch (1) to switch the lighthead on or off. Position the lighthead using either the sterilisable handle (2). Optimal working distance is 70 cm to 130 cm.

The light source is a special type of halogen bulb (3) with specific filament position which is adjusted to the optical system. The light collected and concentrated in the reflector (4) produces a cascade of light spots (5) underneath the HANAULUX blue 80 lighthead. This generates an almost cylindrical of light (6) where the light is homogenously distributed across the working range between 70 cm and 130 cm. A brilliant light of 80.000 lux is provided by the blue 80 Hospital.

Push in the spherical catch of the handle and pull handle off downwards. Push the handle back on until you hear the catch "click"; check for proper seat.

Place the handles standing upright and with the open side facing down. Do not exceed a sterilisation temperature of 134 °C. Avoid letting the handles come into contact with other objects while they are being sterilised.

LOUKKAANTUMISVAARA Irrota HANAULUX blue 80 Hospital -valaisimen pistotulppa pistorasiasta sekä jokin akun sähköliittimistä, jotta saat valaisimen jännitteettömäksi ennen korjaustöiden aloittamista.
DANGER OF BODILY HARM Disconnect the HANAULUX blue 80 Hospital from the mains and make it voltage-free before starting any repair work.
4.1 Valaisimen lampun vaihtaminen Kuva 4 HUOMIO: Turvallisen toiminnan ja valaisimen teknisten ominaisuuksien takaamiseksi käytä vain Maquetin varalamppuja. Älä koske halogeenilampun lasirunkoon paljain sormin.
4.1 Replacing the light bulb Fig. 4 ATTENTION: Please note to use replacement bulbs supplied by Maquet to reach the safe funktion and the technical lighting data. Do not touch the glass body of the halogen bulb with bare fingers.
HUOMIO: Kun blue 80 -valaisinpään alapuolella syttyy keltainen merkkivalo, se tarkoittaa, että varalamppu on otettu käyttöön. Vaihda päälamppu mahdollisimman pian, jotta valaisinjärjestelmä ei sammu kokonaan. Päälampun sijainti on merkitty heijastinlevyyn pisteellä.
ATTENTION: When the yellow signal lights up at the lower side of lighthead blue 80, this indicates that the reserve bulb has taken over operation. To avoid a complete failure of the lighting system please replace the main bulb as soon as possible The position of the main lamp is indicated by a dot on the reflector shield.
1. Paina kevyesti kuvun (2) päällä olevaa kantta (1) ja työnnä se sivuun. 2. Irrota kanta (5) vetämällä sitä ylöspäin. 3. Irrota viallinen halogeenilamppu (3) liitäntäjohdon puolelta. 4. Irrota "R"-kirjaimella merkitty varalamppu (4) ja työnnä se päälampun kantaan. 5. Työnnä uusi lamppu varalampun kantaan. 6. Pane molemmat lamput takaisin heijastimen sisään siten, että heijastimeen ja kantaan merkityt kohdat "R" ovat vastakkain. Pane kansi takaisin paikoilleen ja tarkista, että se on varmasti paikoillaan.
1. Slightly push in lid (1) on the hood (2) and push to one side. 2. Take out socket (5) towards to the top. 3. Remove brocken halogen bulb (3) from the side of the connection lead. 4. Remove spare lamp (4) marked with "R" and put into the socket of the main lamp. 5. Put in new bulb into the socket of the spare lamp. 6. Put both lamps back into the reflector in a way that the marked position "R" on the reflector and socket is opposite. Put lid back on and check the lid for safe seat.

1. Poista kotelon kansi (1) irrottamalla kymmenen kupukantaruuvia M3 x 8 mm (2). 2. Irrota akkuteline (3) sekä liitäntäjohdot (4) ja ota akut (5) ulos kotelosta.
1. Remove casing cover (1) by loosening the 10 oval head screws M3 x 8mm (2). 2. Dismantle battery tray (3) and connecting lines (4) and take batteries (5) from the casing.

Comment: The brakes of the lighthead are set during installation. As with mechanical parts the brakes too, are subject to wear and tear. If the lighthead no longer automatically maintains every position then it is time to readjust the brakes.

Danger of burns: The lighthead heats up during operation. Allow to cool off before setting the brake pressure.
1. Switch off lighthead blue 80 and allow to cool off. 2. Set the brake pressure of the lighthead by tightening or loosening brake pressure adjustment screw (1) underneath lighthead handle (2).
