These are ceiling configurations, single, double or triple with single fork (SF) or double fork (DF), equipped depending on the model, with an ambient light and video pre-equipment.

Light energy can potentially dry tissue. The user must adapt the lighting level to the needs of the operation to be performed, particularly when several cupola are used in combination.

La luz es una energía capaz secar los tejidos. El usuario debe adaptar el nivel de iluminación a las necesidades de la intervención realizada, en particular en caso de combinación de varios cúpulas.

Light is a form of energy that, on account of certain wavelengths emitted, may not be suitable for certain pathologies.

Do not look directly at the light source due to its high intensity.

In the event of a mains power failure, only the cupola with power supplies connected to a backup power supply system will remain operational.

When changing a failed bulb : - Switch off the power supply and allow the cupola to cool for 5 minutes. - Only recommended MAQUET SA genuine bulbs should be used. - Handle the bulb with care using a clean, dry cloth. - Never touch light bulb with bare hands. Oils on bulbs can cause premature life or breakage of bulb.

Durante el cambio de una bombilla averiada: - Cortar la alimentación y dejar enfriar la cúpula 5 minutos. - Utilizar exclusivamente bombillas del modelo MAQUET SA recomendado. - Manipular la bombilla con precaución, con la ayuda de un paño limpio y seco. - Nunca tocar la bombilla con las manos desprotegidas. Grasa sobre las bombillas puede acortarlas la vida o quebralas.

After each sterilization and before each new use of the sterilizable handle : - Check that there are no cracks and that the lock operates correctly. - Fit the handle on the light and lock it by rotating (click).

Después de cada esterilización y antes de cada nueva utilización de la empuñadura esterilizable: - Verificar la ausencia de fisuras y el funcionamiento correcto del cerrojo. - Volver a montar la empuñadura en la lámpara y bloquear por rotación (clic).

Only the surgical team is authorized to handle the sterilizable handle to ensure sanitation.

Do not use the unit in the presence of inflammable anesthetic gases.

The unit must be operated with the cover closed. When performing maintenance, take necessary precautions with respect to hot surfaces which are indicated by appropriate markings.

Do not use the wall mounted power supply units as a storage surface.

Disassembly of certain sub-assemblies can affect operation and safety, for example: - when servicing the electrical power supply, - when servicing the suspension arms and balancing system, - when servicing the optical system of the cupolas which are equipped with filters intended to eliminate radiations not visible by the patient. The unit should no be operated, under any circunstances, without these filters.

1 - Description of equipment

1 - Descripción del equipo

The X’TenTM comes in three versions: the first with single surgical light, the second with surgical light + ambient light and the third one with surgical light + ambient light + video pre-wiring.

El X’TenTM existe en tres versiones: la primera con iluminación operatoria simple, la segunda con iluminación operatoria + iluminación de ambiente y la tercera con iluminación operatoria + iluminación de ambiente + video pre-cableado. La iluminación operatoria permite la realización de los actos quirúrgicos tradicionales en las mejores condiciones de trabajo. La iluminación de ambiente, según el modelo, permite la visualización tamizada del campo operatorio y de su periferia.

The surgical light is used for conventional surgical operations under optimum working conditions. The ambient light, depending on the model, provides a soft illumination of the operating field and its surrounding area.

The change of lighting mode is controlled by the operating / ambient light keypad (12) located on the cupola yoke (3).

The surgical light must be prepositioned prior to any procedure to minimize subsequent handling. By prepositioning the surgical light appropriately for each procedure, potential interactions with possible obstacles are limited (serum holder, distribution arm, etc.).

Disposal of the sterilizable handles is subject to the standard rules governing disposal of hazardous products in an hospital environment.

A non-enzyme-based detergent is recommended (e.g., Getinge USA NeutraWash). Many enzyme based detergents can adversely affect the plastic material used in this handle and should not be used for extended periods of soaking and will need to be thoroughly rinsed off, if used. Cerciorarse de la limpieza de cada empuñadura antes de continuar el proceso. Envolver las empuñaduras en un embalaje de esterilización (embalaje doble o equivalente). Las empuñaduras también se pueden embalar en bolsas de papel/plástico de esterilización3 con el fin de facilitar su identificación y reutilización. Colocar las empuñaduras, con la apertura hacia abajo, sobre las plataformas del esterilizador.4 Adjuntar los indicadores biológicos y/o químicos que permitan vigilar el proceso de esterilización, según los reglamentos en vigor. Lanzar el ciclo de esterilización conforme a las instrucciones del fabricante del esterilizador.

Para garantizar una buena esterilización, no permitir que penetren mohos dentro de la empuñadura.
