QUICK REFERENCE This Quick Reference is for use after the Med4 Elite has been properly set-up in the clinical environment and is completely filled with distilled water.

ON/OFF After you switch the power on, press the amber On/Off button. The Med4 Elite operating system takes up to 60 seconds to load.

QUICK REFERENCE

1 SELECT PATIENT After properly connecting the Wrap, select the Patient number that corresponds with the number on the Connector Hose.

2 SELECT THERAPY The Select Therapy screen appears with four active therapy icons. Choose the desired therapy type to begin setting it up.

Use the decrease and increase buttons to adjust the various settings including temperature, time, and compression levels.

START THERAPY Press the green Start Button when you’re ready to begin the therapy session.

QUICK REFERENCE PAUSING THERAPY SETTINGS You may pause a therapy at any time. To resume the paused therapy without any adjustments, press the Start button. 1. Press the Pause button 2. Press the Start button to resume

CHANGING THERAPY SETTINGS You may change therapy session settings only while treatment is paused. 1. Press the Pause button 2. Press the Adjust Therapy Settings icon and adjust settings as desired 3. Press the Start button to resume with new settings

STOPPING A THERAPY You may stop a therapy at any time. To stop, press the Stop button. The therapy session stops and the Select Therapy screen appears. The therapy settings cannot be adjusted. A new therapy session can then be started with new settings.

TWO PATIENT THERAPY

QUICK REFERENCE TWO PATIENTS / SAME THERAPY TYPE For two patient therapy sessions, the heat and cold reservoirs are shared between patients. Therefore, the temperatures will be the same for both patients. When setting up a therapy for the second patient that uses the same reservoir as the first patient, the therapy temperature selection (+ or -) buttons will be inactive. The reservoir temperature will remain at the temperature set for the first patient. If a different temperature is desired, all therapies must first be paused in order to adjust the reservoir temperature.

TO ADJUST THE RESERVOIR TEMPERATURE: 1. Pause treatment on the first patient, and adjust the temperature (This new temperature will be the same for both patients.) 2. Resume therapy for the first patient by pressing the Start button 3. Now set up the second patient and Press the Start button to begin therapy

TWO PATIENTS / DIFFERENT THERAPY TYPE 1. Connect the unused Hose to the second patient 2. Select Patient 1 or Patient 2 on the Select Patient screen to match the Hose selected 3. ERROR CODES If the Med4 Elite displays an error message during a therapy session, the Control Unit will turn off the power supply.
