Common User Issues Symptom: Lead failure

Main suspects: • Poor hookup / electrodes • Defective patient cable • Bent pin on input connector

Common User Issues Main Questions to Ask: • Was this observed from a single recording or multiple recordings with the same recorder? • Did you try a different patient cable with this recorder? • Was a good impedance check verified prior to start? • Can you remove the patient cable and examine the input connector pins for damage?

• Do you have the original CF card the recording was taken on? • Can you send me the log.txt file from the original card and the serial number of the recorder?

Common User Issues Where to Start?

Log.txt file should be obtained from CF card: • View CF card through windows explorer • Should show up as drive with volume label of “Mortara_H12”

• Have customer copy and send you the log.txt file for review Note – Screen shots from the H-Scribe can also be helpful…

Indications of “RLRALA123456LL” (all leads in fail) may appear during a transitional lead failure state involving limb leads. Note – Older software versions only log the code (not the lead in fail).

H12+ Recorder – Impedance Check Always troubleshoot from the patient to the unit! From the Main menu press the Enter key to select LEAD CHECK. This measures the impedance quality of the electrodeto-skin contact. When done, press the Enter key to return.

Measure 10K Ohms between snap and connector end. Flex high strain areas when testing!

To Replace Input Connector: • Cut the connector from analog PCA with side cutter • Extract pins from PCA with hot iron • Install new connector • Transfer serial # label from old connector Be careful not to damage the through holes on the PCB or lead failure issues may be introduced!
