Contraindications and side effects
4.1
Contraindications
4.2
Side effects
The objective lens serves to connect endoscope to video cameras. For examination, diagnosis and therapy in conjunction with endoscopes in differ ent medical disciplines such as surgery, urology (transurethral resection), gyneco logy (myoma resection) and ENT by adequately trained and qualified medical personnel.
1
Contraindications directly related to the product are presently unknown. On the basis of the patient's general condition the doctor in charge must decide whether the planned use is possible or not. Side effects are not known if instruments are applied as defined in the intended use.

5
Combinations
RIWO objective lenses are used in conjunction with endoscopes and CCD cam eras.
CAUTION! Do not combine products incorrectly! Injuries of the patient, user or others as well as damage to the product is possible. Combine the different products only if their intended uses and relevant technical data (working length, diameter, etc.) are the same. Follow the instruction manual of the products used in combination with this product.
.
NOTE! We recommend using a sterile objective lens. When using an unsterile objective lens, the sterilizable adapter 8580.91 can be connected between the endoscope and objective lens as an option to fasten the drape. This will allow subsequent endoscope changes without contaminating the sterile field (see section 7.6). Fig. 1 Adapter 8580.91 option

.
IMPORTANT! ' When used as intended and when the manual is observed it is not necessary to limit the number of possible reprocessing cycles. ' Careful and gentle handling during the entire reprocessing process has an es sential influence on the service life of medical products. ' Before being returned for repair, defective products must have gone through the entire reprocessing cycle. ' The user is obliged to make sure that the reprocessing process including the resources, materials and personnel is suited to yield the required results. ' Follow the national and international validation requirements.
.
IMPORTANT! Reprocess the products before every application and before returning for repairs as required by the instruction manual in order to protect the patient, user, and others.
.
IMPORTANT ! Do not sterilize RIWO objective lenses in hot-air sterilizers.
