Components and Features Baby Tray Display Screen On/Tare Button Recall Button kg/lb-oz Buttom Off Button
Switching The Weight Mode Note: For use only with model containing the weight mode button.
The weight mode can be changed any time, except when “88888” appears on the display. Press the “kg/lb-oz ” button and the display will show the preset unit of measurement. If you want to change the mode, press “kg/lb-oz” button until the desired mode is selected. The mode will be stored after shut off.
Inserting the Batteries Open the battery cover on the back of the measuring platform. Insert the supplied AA-batteries as indicated. Note: Be sure that the polarity of the batteries is set properly. If the batteries are incorrectly positioned the fluid may leak and damage floors. If you do not intend to use this unit for a long period of time, it is advisable to remove the batteries before storage.
Please note that the included batteries from factory may have decreased energy levels over time.
Important Notes • Do not get the scale wet or store in a humid place. • The scale is a precision instrument – do not drop it, jump on it or drop heavy objects onto it. • Do not dismantle or adjust the scale. • When pressing the On/Tare button, do not hold it down. This will cause the “Err” (error) message to appear on the display.
Taking Weight Measurement Turn on the power by pressing the On/Tare button. “88888” will appear on the display. Wait for the display to read “0 0.0” and place the baby on the scale (within 60 seconds.) Display will show weight. After taking the baby away from the tray, the display will return to “0 0.0” and turn off automatically after approximately 3 seconds.
Tare Function The Tare function allows you to weigh the baby with another item (i.e. towel or blanket) without skewing the actual weight of the baby. Turn on scale. Place item (i.e. towel or blanket) on the baby tray. Press the On/Tare button to reset scale to “0 0.0”. Place baby on the scale. Note : When the total weight of item and baby’s weight exceeds 40 lb or 20 kg, the display shows “OL” (overload.)
Recall Function
Replacing Batteries
The previous reading can be obtained using the RECALL button. (Recall will only display one previous reading.) While the weight result is being displayed, press the RECALL button. The display automatically shows the previous reading of weight for 10 seconds. Press the RECALL button again to go back to the current weight. While the scale is off, press the RECALL button. The display automatically shows the previous reading of weight for 10 seconds. If “Lo” appears on the display, batteries are running down and need to be replaced. If nothing appears on the display the batteries are dead and need to be replaced.
