Preparation before using the device … Before putting the device into operation, please read carefully the instructions for use. The following work steps must be carried out before starting the therapy:
1. Connect the power cord to an AC outlet or power strip with the permitted voltage.
2. Connect the heating wire distributor cable and temperature sensor acoording to their colored and mechanically coded interfaces
3. First push the bottom edge of the humidification chamber under the front flap on the base device and thereafter fix under the movable mountingbracket
4. Attach the short end of the connecting hose to the inlet of the humidifier chamber (= IN) and plug the other end into the therapy device; Connect the breathing therapy system to the patient with the humidifier chamber outlet (= OUT)

2. The green coupling of the heating wire power supply is always connected to the green heating wire plug a of the inspiration hose. Please note: If the patient circuit used is equipped with a heated expiration limb, the white coupling of the heating wire power supply is always connected with the white heating filament plug of that expiration limb.
1. Insert the T- sensor of the temperature probe in the opening of the angle connector; the sensor atthe end of the cable must be inserted into the patient-side opening at the end of the patient circuit (patient side).

Technical Features … o Warm up Time After switching on, the device must be warmed up for 30 minutes. During this time various alarms are suppressed. As soon as the symbol disappears, the AIRcon Gen2 is ready for use.

Technical Features … o Treatment interruption By pressing the alarm silencer key and therapy break button, the therapy can be paused for 3 minutes. During the therapy break, no regulation is made and the heating power is reduced. After the treatment interruption, the alarm delay is activated for 3 minutes until the temperature for auto-set or adjustable mode of operation is reached again.

Technical Features … o Alarm muting
The audible alarm can be muted for 120 s by pressing the button and can be terminated prematurely at any time by pressing any key. Then the alarm sounds again. If the cause of the alarm is not resolved within 10 minutes, the unit switches to "OFF" mode.
