Use the following tools*1 to replace the packing. *1 Not offered by Olympus. • Wrench (6 mm) • Tweezers (without sharp tips) CAUTION • Be sure to use the packing (O-ring) designated by Olympus. Use of a non-designated packing (O-ring) could lead to a gas leak. • Do not use tweezers for attaching a new packing (O-ring). Otherwise, the packing (O-ring) may be damaged, which could lead to a gas leak. • Be sure to use the designated wrench for attaching or detaching the O-ring lock nut. Otherwise, the O-ring lock nut may be damaged. 1 Disconnect the high-pressure hose from the CO2 cylinder and high flow insufflation unit or endoscopic CO2 regulation unit. CAUTION When disconnecting the high-pressure hose, be sure to close the CO2 cylinder valve and exhaust CO2 remaining in the instrument. Otherwise, a large amount of gas will jet out of the instrument. When disconnecting the high-pressure hose from the CO2 gas inlet and CO2 cylinder, ensure that the CO2 cylinder valve is closed, then release any residual CO2 remaining inside the instrument. 2 Remove the handle from the yoke by turning the handle counterclockwise.
