1. Summary of changes
1.1.
Developments
For devices with the CPV option enabled
Integration of CO2 measurement in CPV phase (monitoring or curve over the average of the last
two minutes of instantaneous maximum CO2 values recorded between two ventilation cycles)
Calculation of an index of opening of the airways.
Replacement of the no CT display by % CT.
Modification of the timer in CPV mode: it only adds up the time spent in CPV mode, not the
total time.
Modification of the preventive maintenance menu
Accessible from the second page of the maintenance menu using the "Preventive maintenance"
button.
It gives access to the following window:
Page 3
| Monnal T60 | Technical note
The following two functions are available:
Maintenance reminder
Function used to notify users that preventive maintenance should be performed on their device.
A message automatically appears after 15 months as the following alarm:
It can be cleared/overridden, so it does not prevent switching to ventilation, but it is repeated at
each start-up and patient category change.
Maintenance performed
Function used to clear the "preventive maintenance to be provided" alarm permanently.
It also acknowledges consideration of preventive maintenance and deactivates the Maintenance
reminder function, which will need reactivating to continue monitoring.
Activation of these functions is the responsibility of the maintenance manager
Check that the Monnal T60 date matches before enabling the "Maintenance
reminder" function
1.2.
Corrections
Elimination of an error that resulted in non-regulation of the PEEP and might generate an
abnormally high expiratory pressure.
Correction of a difference between monitoring of the current volume and the ventilation cycle,
caused by software processing of the signal, which resulted in displayed values above the
tolerated limits.
Only concerns MT60-Japanese (KA 013700) devices equipped with a software version
≥V.2.1.3 with the JAPAN CONFIG. function enabled (ATP measurement)
Improvement of internal battery life display, on the bar graph, of synchronized management of
clearance of alarms 28 and 29, and of the color of the battery indicator LED.
Elimination of REBOOT arising when the autotest "reboot" function is selected, when these
autotests were passed.
Page 4
| Monnal T60 | Technical note
Modification of the autotest sequence to enable the use of infant patient circuits with 10 mm
diameter.
Partial treatment of the triggering of alarm 129 "Error detected! Contact the technical
department" during autotests, for devices not equipped with the solenoid valve for setting the
patient to atmosphere.
Loss of device configuration following a RAM error.
Reminder: The presence of this solenoid valve is indicated on the device by selecting the "new
insp. block." function in the maintenance menu/Serial number from V.2.1.3.
* For other undetermined causes of clearance of alarm 129, additional diagnostic aid traces have
been added to the black box.
Elimination of the bug displaying MVe instead of MVi, occurring when the expiratory sensor
measurement is deactivated and the ventilation mode is changed.

Download confirmation
The device starts up again after the monitor and ventilator parts have been updated.
-Ensure that the software version number is correctly displayed at the bottom of the alarm
panel (one version number only).
2.5.
Inspection
Follow the instructions in the previous compatibility table, depending on the version installed on
the device to be updated, to find out which operations need to be performed.
In any case:
● Perform an autotest.
● Start ventilation on the test lung: ensure that no technical alarms are
displayed.
● Carry out an inspection as described in the commissioning form. BTPS type
For devices with the CPV option: all of the measurements do not appear when the
mode is first launched.
The procedure is therefore as follows:
1. Launch ventilation: CPV mode
2. Return to standby mode
3. Select the CPV mode again and simulate an active cardiac massage (press and
release the test lung several times). Check on the screen that there are values in
the monitoring data blocks on page 1/2 and 2/2
3. TRACKING
For Air Liquide Medical Systems technicians and approved maintenance service providers:
track the operation using the computer tool (version code TR600210).
For other participants, please complete the tracking form and return it to the address at the
bottom of the next page.
