SP 1. Castor Lubrication and swivel function

Check occasionally for new editions.

NOTE! Do not dismantle the castor from the chassis! 1. Lay down the Carendo. 2. Disassemble the castors. Start with the outer cover by using a screw driver or a knife and carefully bend off the cover (A) from the wheel (B). Loosen the screw in the middle of the wheel (C).

3. Clean properly. 4. Carefully lubricate movable parts with Super Lube Plus. 5. Re-assemble the castors 6. Tighten the screw firmly 7. Check the function of the castors Swivel Function 1. Lay down the Carendo. 2. Disassemble the castors from the chassis. Pull the castor straight out from the chassis. 3. Clean the shaft (D) and the hole in the castor properly.

4. Carefully lubricate with Super Lube Plus. 5. Re-assemble the castor and check the function. NOTE! The straight-steering castor (with the blue pedal) should be mounted on the rear right attachment on the chassis.

SP 2. Replace the PCB and the fuses

Check occasionally for new editions.

1. Remove the battery. 2. Loosen the three screws on the service cover. 3. Remove the cover and the membrane seal. 4. Locate and replace the fuses if needed. Go to 7 if you will not replace the PCB. 5. Disconnect the cables and remove the PCB using the special white plastic tool (no. 8453102).

6. Insert the new PCB and connect the cables. (see Technical Manual if necessary) 7. Reassemble. If the membrane seal is difficult to assemble, some soap might help. 8. Insert the battery.

SP 3. Replace the locking device

Check occasionally for new editions.

1. Remove the battery. 2. Loosen the three screws on the service cover. 3. Remove the cover and the membrane seal. 4. Disconnect the cables on the PCB. 5. Remove the locking pins with screws. 6. Remove the four Allen screws. 7. Lift out the complete mounting plate with the locking devices.

8. Unscrew the two screws with nuts on the locking device. 9. Replace the locking device. 6

10.When reassembling, use new locking nuts for the locking device and Loctite on the screws for the locking pins (according to page 15).

11.When tightening the screws for the mounting plate check that the locking pins move freely.

SP 4. Replace the worm gear/ motor

Check occasionally for new editions.

1. Proceed according to SP 5 items 1-4. Note! Remove covers on both sides. 2. Loosen the cables towards the backrest (the cables are numbered).

3. Loosen the lower rod (Allen screws) on both sides. 4. Loosen two bolts on the bearing on both sides. 4

5. Loosen the service cover on the backrest according to SP 3 item 2-3. 6. Support the backrest from below to prevent it from falling down. 7. Use the loose screws on the bearing to pull out the bearings on both sides.

8. Remove the care raiser with leg supports forwards. 9. Bend slightly with a big, wide screwdriver or similar to loosen the seat attachment. Be careful not to damage the plastics!

10.Loosen the screws for the leg support 11.Remove the seat. 9

12.Loosen the screws for the upper rod attachment to the motor. 13.Remove the backrest. 14.Lay the backrest down.

15.Remove the blue button, two screws inside and three screws outside. 15

A 16.Disconnect the motor connections on the PCB. 17.Remove the cover. 18.Loosen the three bolts for the worm gear unit. To replace only the motor: 19.Loosen the two bolts and pull off the motor from the splines. Reassembling:

1. When reassembling notice the position of the cable.

2. Use Loctite according to page 13.

SP 5. Replace the actuator

Check occasionally for3new editions.

1. Rise the Carendo partially but not all the way, as the actuator then cannot be removed. 2. Remove the battery 3. Loosen the three screws for the right cover on the inside. 4. Pull off the cover gripping the cover from below, trying to get grip with your fingertips in the slit and gently pulling up- and outwards. 5. Loosen the cables towards the castors (the cables are numbered) 6. Turn the Carendo carefully on the side.

7. Cut the top strap holding the bellows. 15

8. Loosen the three Allen bolts and pull out the cable. 9. Pull out the actuator. Watch the two plastic bushings. 10.Loosen the four screws for the bottom cover.

11.Loosen the two bolts for the actuator. Use a joint coupling for the wrench. 12.Pull out the actuator. Reassembling 13.Attach the new actuator (use Loctite according to page 13).

14.Push the cable through the hole (use some soap if it is difficult) and position the actuator (do not forget the two plastic bushings on top of the actuator pins. 15.Stretch the cable from outside.

16.Attach the three Allen bolts (use Loctite according to page 13). 17.Attach the bellow with a new strap. 18.Cut off the green/yellow longer cable parts (only used to make it easier to pull the cable) 19.Attach the cables according to the picture and connect them. 20.Reassemble the cover and the battery 21.Reassemble the cover.

SP 6. Replace the emergency buttons

Check occasionally for new editions.

1. Proceed according to SP 3; item 1-7. 2. Study a button with cabling to find out the best way to separate the button from the connector using a small screwdriver and lifting the latch at the same time rotating the connector. 3. When the cable with connector is loose, unscrew the locking ring for the button turning it counter-clockwise Reassembling 4. When reassembling note that the peg in the button and in the connector shall be placed crosswise.

5. Proceed according to SP 3; item 10-13 NOTE! If you are unable to remove the button according to this procedure, proceed according to SP 4. 2
