Preventive Maintenance Schedule • Equipment operators and Service/Maintenance Personnel should hold to this Preventive Maintenance Schedule. • This Preventive Maintenance Schedule documents the basic steps to ensure product safety. ARJO offers comprehensive service support programs to maximise the long-term safety, reliability and value of this product. For more information and quotation on these services, contact your local ARJO representative. • The equipment is subject to wear and tear. The following maintenance procedures must be performed when specified to ensure that the equipment remains within its original manufacturing specification. • Please refer to the Operating Instructions No. KKX81010.US and the Parts List No. KKX81013.US which are available from your ARJO dealer. • Unauthorized modifications on any ARJO Ltd. equipment may affect its safety and are in breach of any equipment warranty. ARJO will not be held responsible for any accidents, incidents or lack of performance that occur as a result of any unauthorized modifications to its products. • ARJO strongly advise and warn that only ARJO company designated parts, which are designed for the purpose, should be used on equipment and other appliances supplied by ARJO, to avoid injuries attributable to the use of inadequate parts.

Examine the sling, straps and clips for damage or fraying as required.

Visually check exposed surfaces for damage, sharp edges, etc. See Note 1.

Visually check sling attachment points. Do not use if damaged. Make sure all labels are attached. See Operating Instructions for location.

Check to make sure the handgrips are secure. Rebond if required.

BATTERY CHARGER

Examine the charger and wires for integrity and connections.

MAIN HOIST

Visually check exposed surfaces for damage, sharp edges, etc. See Note 1. Operate the lift through its full range. Visually check the handset and cable for damage. See Note 2.

Perform a full function test on the hoist. Check operation of the Stop/Reset and System Lower Override Device. Check batteries for leakage and/or deterioration. Replace if required. Make sure all fixings, screws, nuts are secure and tight. Check all castor wheels for wear. Replace as required. Check that the covers fit correctly and are not damaged. Replace as required. Check for evidence of corrosion. Replace as necessary. Check that batteries will charge when in charging station.

Replace all batteries every 3 years from installation.

Additional Notes Note 1: Visually check all exposed parts, especially where patients or users will come in personal contact. Ensure that no cracks or sharp edges have developed that could cause patient or user injury or have become unhygienic. If found damaged in any way, contact your local qualified service technician. Note 2: Examine the condition of the handset and its cable. If these are damaged, do not use them and replace them immediately with a new handset and cable assembly.
