Introduction Thank you for choosing one of our medical carts. It has been engineered from the finest quality materials to fulfill the requirements of the healthcare industry. Your cart will give years of trouble free service if used and cared for in accordance with our directions. Before using your cart please take the time to read this operation manual carefully and familiarise yourself with the controls and operation of the unit. It is important to assess that this equipment is suitable for the patients clinical needs.

Warnings These warnings must be read and understood by all personnel who will use our product Do not open more than one drawer at a time Always move the cart carefully and seriously Pay attention to the direction that the cart is moved Do not move the cart fast where visibility is restricted Do not attempt to use the cart on stairs Do not forcibly move the cart when the brakes are on Always unlock the brakes before moving the cart Always lock the brakes when the cart is stopped Do not push from behind the cart when a loaded drawer is open Never move the cart when a drawer is open Do not move the cart by pushing and pulling on accessories Do not overload the top – maximum load is 50kg Do not over load the drawers – maximum load is 20kg Do not over load the slide out shelf – maximum load is 20kg Do not over load the Defibrillator shelf – maximum load is 15kg Always lock the drawers when not in use Do not leave the cart parked on a slope Do not lean, sit or stand on an open drawer Never force a drawer open if it is tight or stuck Do not hit the cart with hard objects, such as a hammer Do not pour medicinal or hot liquids into the drawers directly Do not bring the cart into contact with high temperature Keep the cart clear of continuous direct sunlight

Maintenance CART CLEANING Clean the cart with a sponge or soft cloth using warm soapy water, standard cleaners and disinfectants or alcohol based cleaners. Dry with a clean cloth. DO NOT USE hard scrubbers or scrapers. DO NOT USE volatile chemicals, phenolic disinfectants, solvents or polishing compounds. Cleaning of the top working surface, cart push handles and drawer handles is recommended (but not limited to) daily, to prevent the spread of infection. DAMAGE CAUSED BY THESE PROCESSES AND PRODUCTS ARE IDENTIFIABLE AND WILL VOID WARRANTY

Ensure the bolts are always tight on all accessories that are attached Ensure the castors always roll and swivel freely Ensure the castor brake and steer operations are working correctly Check that all drawers open and close smoothly and correctly Check that the drawer lock is working freely

TROUBLE SHOOTING

Accessories – If any accessory feels or appears loose, check that the mounting screws are tight and secure. If concerned report it to your engineering staff for evaluation. Castors – If the cart is not wheeling smoothly and there is resistance to moving, firstly check that brakes and steer castors are unlocked. Check the floor is free of any obstruction. Drawers – If a drawer is tight, catching or will not open, do not force. Check first that the locking system is fully open. If OK, then carefully attempt to open a drawer above or below to ensure that nothing is caught inside the tight drawer, preventing it from opening. Report to your engineering staff for evaluation if unsuccessful.

SERVICING If any of the above items are deemed or felt to be performing below what is normal or expected, please contact Ascot Healthcare on 02 9714 1177 immediately to ensure the concern is corrected.

Warranty IN THE EVENT THAT: If the cart is found to have manufacturing defect within (1) one year from the date of invoice from faults or defects such as: • The welding or assembly of the cart body • Powder coating integrity on the cart body • Drawer runner operation • ABS moulded top quality • Correct operation of the castors

Cosmetic issues such as fading, crazing or discolouration Vandalism, negligence, abuse, accidents or normal wear and tear Disregard of the maintenance requirements Product tampered with or altered, modified or repaired by anyone when not approved by Ascot Healthcare Harsh conditions such as close proximity to salt, extreme hot or cold temperatures

ASCOT HEALTHCARE WILL : •

At our option, repair or replace the part or parts found within our reasonable judgement to have been defective in workmanship or materials
