Cleaning product guidelines Alaris® System Your Alaris System PC unit and modules require proper care and maintenance to remain in good repair. To ensure that your devices continuously work well, use the recommended cleaning products and correct cleaning and inspection processes. Refer to the applicable Alaris System Directions for Use for detailed cleaning instructions.  IUI Connectors  CareFusion has determined these products safe for Alaris System cleaning: •  10% bleach - (sodium hypochlorite, 1-part bleach to 9-parts water)  •  70% isopropyl alcohol (IPA)  •  3M Compublend II cleaning concentrate - Base V, with fragrance - (3.74g/Litre water)  •  Brulin Maxima 128™ disinfectant cleaner (7.48g/Litre water)  Inter-unit interface (IUI) connectors are the black connection points on the sides of each module. DO NOT expose them to any of the cleaning solutions on the list other than 70% IPA.  IUI Connectors  ®  •  Clorox Healthcare Bleach Germicidal Cleaner (formerly marketed as Dispatch Hospital cleaner disinfectant)  •  Dispatch Hospital Cleaner Disinfectant Towels with Bleach  •  Ecolab Asepti-Zyme instrument presoak and detergent - (7.48g/Litre water)  •  LpH se concentrated germicidal detergent (3.74g/Litre water)  ®  DO NOT use the following chemicals that can damage the surfaces of the instrument: •  Acetone  •  Ammonia  •  Metrex Metrizyme dual-enzymatic cleaner (7.48g/Litre water)  •  Aromatic solvents (such as naphtha, paint thinner, benzene, Toluene, xylene)  •  PDI Super Sani-Cloth germicidal disposable wipes  •  Chlorhexidine gluconate  •  •  Phenolic 256 DC germicidal detergent – (3.74g/Litre water)  Chlorinated solvents (such as trichloroethane)  •  •  Staph Attack disinfectant fungicide and virucide  •  Virkon S disinfectant and virucide - (9.6g/Litre water)  Diethyleneglycol monobutyl ether or Ethylene glycol monobutyl or ether or 2-butoxyethanol or Butyl Cellosolve o r Methyl ethyl ketone  Wexford Labs ready-to-use (RTU) Wex-Cide germicidal detergent  •  Non-healthcare grade solvents solutions  •  •  Quaternary ammonium chloride-based compounds (such as Dipropylene glycol n-propyl ether N-Alkyl [C12-18)] Dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride, N-Alkyl [C1214] Dimethyl ethylbenzyl ammonium chloride)  •  Solutions containing phosphoric acid (such as Foamy Q&A®)  •  Undiluted alcohol  •  Wexford Labs RTU Thymo-Cide germicidal detergent  •  Wexford Labs Wex-Cide 128 concentrate germicidal detergent - (7.48g/Litre water) Note: Water and mild detergents may also be used. Note: The recommended list represents worldwide brands current at the time of print. The product warranty will be honoured so long as the cleaning solution used is not from the ‘Do Not Use’ list.
