The power on self-test should be carried out with a direct connection between the inspiratory and expiratory ports as per Image A:

Pre-Use Test in Standby Mode
The following tests should be carried out with a direct connection between the inspiration and expiration ports as shown in Image B: • Technical Test • AC/Battery Test • Gas Supply Test • Oxygen Sensor Test • Leak Test • Flow Sensor Test • Pressure Sensor Test • Safety Valve Test (Prior to the circuit test, a prompt will be displayed to connect the patient circuit as per example in Image C) • Circuit Test [email protected]

Image C Please Note: The mains power and O2 supply should be connected prior to carrying out the self-test and pre-use test.
WARNING! If the power switch (shown in Image D) is turned off this will result in a complete and immediate shutdown of the machine. Upon power up, a complete system restart will commence.
WARNING! The humidifier should always be disconnected from the electrical mains supply when not in use. Failure to do this may result in the accidental power up that poses a fire risk.
