TERMS OF GUARANTEE Subject to the conditions listed below Brandon Medical Company Ltd guarantee to provide for the repair of, or at its option replacement of Brandon Medical equipment, or any component thereof (other than consumables), found to be faulty or below standard, as a result of inferior workmanship or materials. This Guarantee will be passed to the purchaser through the Approved Brandon Medical Distributor where equipment is purchased outside of the United Kingdom.

The conditions of the Guarantee are: 1.
This Guarantee shall only apply to defects or faults that are notified to Brandon Medical Company Ltd or its Approved Distributor within 12 months of the delivery date.
2.
This is a “Return to base” guarantee therefore cost of any carriage to and from the Dealer, Supplier or Brandon Medical Company Ltd approved Service Agent shall be borne by the Purchaser.
3.
This Guarantee covers equipment intended for use in hospitals and healthcare establishments only.
4.
It is a condition of Guarantee that the equipment is maintained as recommended in the Instruction Manuals provided.
5.
This Guarantee does not cover faults or defects caused by accident, misuse, fair wear and tear, neglect, tampering with the equipment, or any attempt at adjustment or repair other than by Brandon Medical approved Service Technicians.
6.

This Guarantee cannot be varied except by written notification by Brandon Medical Company Ltd authorised by a Company Director.

Under no circumstances whatsoever shall Brandon Medical Co. Ltd. be liable in respect of consequential loss.
9.
The Guarantee is subject to the equipment in question having been paid for in full.
10. This Guarantee is offered as an additional benefit to the Purchaser’s statutory rights and does not affect these rights in any way.

The ‘rigid’ arms have a friction adjustment at each joint. This is factory set to allow the lamp to be easily moved with one hand, yet still hold its position. The lamp head can be revolved 270º around its axis. WARNING! Do not use the wire metal spacer on the front of the lamp to manoeuvre the lamp head, as this may result in damage to the lamp.
1. General Instructions. The Coolview examination lamp is a high quality product from Brandon Medical. Please read these instructions carefully before using the lamp. To guarantee the safe and reliable use of your Coolview examination lamp please ensure that you follow the points noted in paragraph 2.

On/Off and Dimming. The lamp is provided with an ON/OFF switch at the base of the transformer housing. The switch marked “I II” selects either high intensity or dimmed mode. The Coolview 35 lamps also feature a switch on the lamp head that can be used to switch between “Flood” and “Spot” mode.

Cleaning. The lamp is not waterproof and should not be immerse. The lamp should be cleaned with a damp towel. Do not use abrasive products. WARNING! Replace the front lens cover if it becomes discoloured or badly scratched.

Malfunction and repair. Should your lamp fail to operate, ensure that the power switch is on, the mains cable is plugged in and that the socket is switched on. If the lamp still does not work try replacing the bulb.

Precautions. This lamp fulfils the requirements of IEC598. The user must not make any changes or modifications to the lamp, except for the replacement of bulbs.

Bulb replacement Attention: Let the bulb cool before replacement! Make sure that the mains power is disconnected. Remove the front cover [1]. Pinch the bulb carrier [2] and pull out carefully (C20 & C50 Models Only).Take a firm grip of the bulb [3] and pull it out of the bulb socket. Carefully insert a new bulb and push the bulb carrier and bulb back into the lamp head [4].Replace the front cover and press until it clicks - the gap around the front cover should be equal all the way around!
2. Installation. Ensure correct orientation of the supplied mounting bracket (see picture below) so that the mounting hole for the lamp spigot is facing upwards. Choose the correct location to mount the bracket. It is normal to mount the bracket on the side wall adjacent to the couch at a fixing height from the finished floor, between 1200 & 1400mm.
3. Important Notes before Use. Light is a pure form of energy and is absorbed by most materials, turning the light energy into heat. Damage can occur to heat sensitive or flammable material. To avoid the potential danger of fire or burns the light head should not be positioned within 300 mm of such materials. • The distance between the lamp head and the patient should be at least 500 mm.

Do not leave the light unattended whilst in use. Do not touch the protective lens. Immediately replace any damaged lens. Only use the correct Brandon Medical replacement bulb.
