4 Care instructions It is important to follow the below instructions before the product is used for a new user. When unsure, contact the hygiene responsible or contact the supplier for help and further instructions.
IMPORTANT !
Check the hygiene cover every time it is being cleaned. If the cover is damaged, it is to be replaced or repaired. Follow the local instructions and the cleaning agents’ instructions carefully.
4.1 Covers Wipe off the hygiene cover with a mild cleaning agent and water, or disinfect with alcohol-based cleaning agent. Excrement and blood spots are to be removed immediately with cold water. Follow the local instructions and the cleaning agents’ instructions carefully. Chloride and phenolic based products should be avoided for cleaning, since they can effect the cover surface in a negative way. If chloride still is used, we recommend to dilute it to maximum 1%. The cover can be machine washed in max. 95°C, tumble or hanged dry. Divisible covers should be divided before wash. The black bottom part should be washed separately the first time. The inner cover can be machine washed in max. 60°C and tumbled dry.
4.2 Mattress core The hygine cover protects the foam core completely, which means cleaning of the core seldom is necessary. If, for any reason, the core needs to be cleaned, clean the effected area with a mild cleaning agent and water (for example spray on). Press out the water carefully. Let the mattress dry in a warm, ventilated area, without direct exposure of sunlight. The core needs to be completely dry before it is used again. When needed, use an alcohol-based cleaning agent to disinfect.
4.3 Air cells 1. Remove the hygiene cover, as well as the inner cover. 2. Carefully remove the air cells from the foam core. Remove the cell holder from the cells. 3. Place the air cells and the tubes in a clean and suitable cleaning area. 4. Wipe of the cells and the tubes with a mild cleaning agent or disinfect with an alcohol-based agent. Let it dry. 5. Replace the cells into the cell holder. Place the air cells back into the foam core. Check that all the tubes and connectors are secure and tight, before closing the cover. 6. Wipe off and disinfect all the work surfaces with an alcohol-based cleaning agent.
