Metal Lift Mechanism Redesign
Tracking Number (ECO / Trackwise):
PR #9953934
Issue / Purpose For the purposes of improved reliability and reduced warranty costs, the lift mechanism for OmniBed has been changed to use a metal lift belt as apposed to the earlier design that uses a plastic lift belt. The Service Manual will be updated to include the new design in the next revision. This bulletin, in combination with the existing Illustrated Parts section of the Service Manual 6600-0343-000, provides the needed information required to identify the correct replacement part and implement needed repairs.
Technical Detail The parts listed on the following pages are no longer available with the introduction of the metal lift belt design. This is being done to assure consistency in the U-Channel Assembly there by providing the greatest possible reliability for this design. The complete metal U-Channel Assembly is shown on the last page of this document and can be ordered under part number 2074711-001
Repair Procedures
Released
As a result of this design change it is no longer necessary to perform section 5.4.3.4 “Replacing the Rail Drive Belt” in service manual 6600-0343-000. The metal lift belt design change does not affect the remaining procedures for the OmniBed lift mechanism.

GE Healthcare Metal Lift Belt U-Channel Assembly
The Metal Lift Belt U-Channel Assembly 2074711-001 replaces the need to replace piece parts within the assembly when making this repair.
