Leakage compensation – –
The device compensates mask leaks to deliver the required pressure level Once a leakage occur, the Oxylog 3000 will increase its flow rate to maintain the pressure level. The maximum flow rate of the Oxylog 3000 is 100 L/min.

No leakage alarm in the NIV mode
Limitations of NIV – – – –
8
The displayed flow curve and the measured values for VT and MV are compensated VT and MV may be incorrect when ventilating with a mask without the NIV function active
Apnea ventilation is not possible when the NIV function is active The dead space increases when using masks Do not activate the NIV function on intubated patients When not using the NIV function with mask ventilation (measured values for VT and MV will be incorrect)
