Verwendungszweck

Intended use

Zur schnellen Messung der Atemalkoholkonzentration – zum Beispiel zur Diagnose von Gefäßverletzungen in der Urologie bei transurethralen Prostataresektionen, TUR–P, oder in der Gynäkologie bei transcervicalen Resektionen des Endometriums, TCRE, nach vorheriger Applikation einer Ethanol-haltigen Spüllösung, bei der Notfallaufnahme zum Testen von Patienten auf vorherigen Alkoholkonsum, oder zur Feststellung von Alkohol-Beigebrauch vor der Methadonsubstitution.

For rapid measurement of breath alcohol concentration – for example for diagnosis of vascular injuries in the urology during transurethral resections of the prostata, TUR–P, or in the gynaecology during transcervical resections of the endometrium, TCRE, after previous application of an ethanol containing rinsing solution, at the emergency reception area for testing patients for previous alcohol consumption, or for the detection of alcohol consumption before methadone substitution.

Manuelle Messung

Manual measurement

Bei der manuellen Messung wird die Probenahme durch den Bediener des Gerätes manuell ausgelöst. Dadurch ist ein Einsatz auch bei beschränkt kooperationsfähigen Testpersonen möglich, die nicht in der Lage sind, auf Veranlassung in das Mundstück zu blasen oder eine ausreichende Atemprobe abzugeben.

This enables the use of the instrument also with persons being tested who are limited in their cooperation capabilities and are not able to blow into the mouthpiece on request or to deliver a sufficient breath sample.

For a very small delivered breath volume the analysed breath air is a mixture of lung air and air from the upper respiratory tract. Therefore, the measured concentration is smaller compared to the blood alcohol concentration. For a manual measurement without mouthpiece additionally a mixture of breath air with ambient air can occur, whereby the breath air is diluted and therefore the measured concentration is smaller than the concentration in the breath air.

Alternativ einige Tropfen der Lösung auf ein saugfähiges Papier tropfen und Gerät ohne Mundstück darüberhalten. ● - Taste kurz drücken. - Das Gerät führt eine Messung durch und zeigt das Ergebnis an. Sobald die Empfindlichkeit des Gerätes auf Alkohol bestätigt wurde, erscheint in der Anzeige "ALKOHOL", die rote Lampe leuchtet. ● OK - Taste kurz drücken; das Gerät ist einsatzbereit.

Die unter der Meldung erscheinende Nummer dient zu Servicezwecken. Bleibt die Störung auch nach mehrmaligen Ein- und Ausschalten bzw. Entfernen der Batterie (mindestens 2 Sekunden) und erneutem Einsetzen erhalten, Dräger Safety kontaktieren.

In case of internal error, the following error message is displayed (see page 32). If the failure still occurs after the instrument is switched on and off several times resp. after removal of the batteries (at least 2 seconds) and re-inserting, contact Dräger Safety.
