Important Safety Information Read the important safety information listed below. Operation
Read through the entire manual before servicing the LullabyTM Warmer. As with all medical equipments, attempting to service this device without a thorough understanding may result in injury to the patient or the service personnel. This device should only be serviced by trained personnel. Complete the checkout procedure in this manual before servicing the LullabyTM Warmer.
NOTE: If the LullabyTM Warmer fails any portion of the checkout procedures, it must be removed from use and repaired. Power supply In the event of main power failure the LullabyTM Warmer will enter into a power fail alarm condition. NOTE: The LullabyTM Warmer will display a single red LED in this condition on the right side of the control panel, refer to Alarms and Indication in Chapter 1. This audible alarm will give continuous single tone alarm and the LullabyTM Warmer will remain in this power fail mode until the main power is restored.
Always disconnect the power source to the LullabyTM Warmer before performing service or maintenance procedures. Apply power only if you are specifically instructed to do so as part of the procedure.
Service
Only competent individuals trained in the repair of this equipment should attempt to service it as detailed in this manual. Detailed information for more extensive repairs is included in this manual solely for the purpose of users who already have a good knowledge of tools and test equipments, and also for the service representatives trained by GE Healthcare.
Cleaning and General
Do not service the warmer in the presence of flammable anesthetics as an explosion hazard could occur under such conditions. Additional precautions specific to certain procedures are found in the following pages of this manual.
Warnings, Cautions and Notes This section introduces the various types of warnings, cautions information notes and symbols used in this guide that alert the users to the possible hazards and provides additional information. Symbol
Description This symbol denotes “Caution, read accompanying documents.” This applies also to when the Caution symbol appears on an equipment label. It means additional information is found in the accompanying documents. A General Warning statement is used to inform the users of the equipment on possible risk or injury.

A NOTE provides additional information to clarify a point in the text. WARNING: As with all medical equipments, carefully route patient cabling to reduce the possibility of patient entanglement or strangulation. WARNING: Do not lean against the side of LullabyTM Warmer. Leaning against the side of the LullabyTM Warmer may cause it to tip over. WARNING: This device is for professional use only.
NOTE
CAUTION: US Federal Law restricts this device to sale by, or on order of, a licensed medical practitioner. CAUTION: Technical competence is required to service the LullabyTM Warmer. The procedures described in this manual should be performed by trained and authorized personnel only. Maintenance should only be undertaken by competent individuals who have knowledge and experience with devices of this nature. There are no user serviceable parts in the LullabyTM Warmer. Repairs should be undertaken only by qualified personnel. Genuine replacement parts manufactured or sold by GE Healthcare must be used for all repairs. Read through each step in every procedure before starting, any exceptions may result in a failure in safely completing the attempted procedure. NOTE: Additional copies of this manual are available on request from the GE Healthcare office listed on the inside back cover of this manual.
Warnings, Cautions and Notes This section identifies general warnings, cautions and notes associated with the use of the LullabyTM Warmer. Symbol
Description To avoid the risk of electrical shock, this equipment must only be connected to a supply mains with protective earth. To safely terminate the operation of the equipment, turn off the mains power switch and disconnect the supply cord from the equipment. Do not step on the device.
Do not sit on the device. NOTE

About this Manual Scope and Intended Users This manual describes the features, installation, dismantling and replacing of the parts of the LullabyTM Warmer. The LullabyTM Warmer is used in hospital delivery rooms, hospital newborn nurseries, Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU). Indications for Use (Intended Use)
Infant radiant warmers provide infrared heat in a controlled manner to neonates and infants who are unable to maintain appropriate thermo-regulation based on their own physiology. Infant radiant warmers may be used to facilitate the neonate’s transition to the external environment after birth or to provide a controlled open microenvironment in a hospital setting.
