*  Raise/Lower  2  Instructions for use  Hill-Rom® 900B Bed  2 1  Trendelenburg - emergency Trendelenburg  1  >  Carry out individual risk assessments including but not limited to: • • • • • • • •  Reverse Trendelenburg  caught hazard, potential falls from the bed, patient in state of confusion, patient’s learning ability, children (aged less than 12 or under 1.46 m tall), persons lacking the mental capacity to recognize unsafe actions, unauthorized persons, check the list of recommended mattresses.  All persons authorized to use the bed’s functions must be capable of doing so in a safe and controlled manner. In case of doubt, the bed’s functions must be locked.  >  2  Before placing the patient on the bed  Raise/Lower - Head/Thigh sections  Mobilizing the patient When the patient is to be left unattended, the caregiver must ensure that: • • • •  the brakes are applied, the bed is in the lowest HiLow position, the electrical functions are selectively locked out according to the protocol specific to the patient, the siderails are raised only if it is required by the protocol specific to the patient.  * Refer to the user manual *171077*  Chair position  1
