LikoScale 400
Prod. No. 3156226 LikoScale 400 is a convenient, easy-to-use scale that is intended for weighing patients in Liko mobile or stationary lifts. Together with Liko’s lifts and lifting accessories, LikoScale 400 enables safe and easy weighing. The weight is shown on the scale’s digital display. By selecting unit mode the scale can display either kg or lbs. The scale should only be used in combination with approved lifts and accessories in accordance with the instructions in this guide. LikoScale 400 can be used with the following Liko lifts: Viking (S, M, L, XL) - require Adapter 12 mm, Prod. No. 2016504. Uno (all models)

As the lifting height is limited when LikoScale is used in combination with LikoLight or Viking XS, we do not recommend these alternatives. * This user guide is a complement to the complete documentation issued by the manufacturer of the scale. The intention with this document is to make it easier for our customers to use LikoScale in combination with Liko’s products. For detailed information regarding the scale we refer you to the manufacturer’s Operation Guide (attached).

Installing/ Replaceing the battery
LikoScale 400 is delivered with a 9 V battery with a battery life of about 3000 readings.
Operation
Installation of battery: 1. Open the door on the back of the scale. 2. Install the battery.
The normal climate range for operation of LikoScale 400 is between +10o C (50o F) to +40o C (104o F) at a relative humidity not exceeding 95%.
3. Close the door.
The scale must not be stored at temperatures below -20°C (-4°F ) or above +50°C (+122°F).
When the battery needs to be replaced, a small battery symbol will appear in the upper left corner of the display.
When the scale is stored for more than 6 months, the battery should be removed.
NOTE! Old batteries should be left at the nearest recycling station.
Before weighing, ensure the scale has been installed in accordance with the Assembly Instructions on pages 2-3.

Assembly Instructions
Follow the assembly instruction for the appropriate Liko lift.
Before lifting, check that the lifting accessory is hanging vertically and can move freely.
Likorall, MasterLift, Golvo: Fixed assembly

Always use one of the sleeves, included with the scale.
Press the (kg/Ibs) - button on the scale to display either kg or lbs.
1. Remove the lifting accessory from the lift. 2. Place one sleeve on the scale´s lower attachment point. Mount the lifting accessory under the scale, using bolt and locking nut provided.

2. Start the scale by pressing the ”OPERATE” button.
1. Remove the lifting accessory from the lift.
3. Place one sleeve on the scale´s lower attachment point. Mount the lifting accessory under the scale, using bolt and locking nut provided.

4. Place one sleeve on the scale´s upper attachment point. Mount the scale in its upper attachment to the adapter, using bolt and locking nut provided.
3. Reset the scale by pressing the ”ZERO” button. When the scale is ready, the value ”0.0” will appear on the display. 4. Remove the sling from the sling bar and apply the sling to the patient in accordance with the instruction guide for the sling and lift. Connect the sling to the sling bar. 5. Raise the sling bar so the patient rises slightly. Never lift a patient higher than necessary. 6. W hen the lifting motion has stabilized, press the ”OPERATE” button. The patient’s weight can now be read on the display. The scale turns off automatically after about 60 seconds. For further readings, press the ”OPERATE” button.
When disassembling the scale, the adapter must be removed from the lift before a lifting accessory is reassembled on to the lift. 2
The scale can be reset to zero with or without the sling. If the scale is reset to zero without the sling attached to the sling bar, the weight of the patient will include the weight of the sling. Therefore the weight of the sling must be subtracted to obtain the correct weight of the patient. Resetting the scale with the sling is described below:
