Work in a walking stance with your back straight. •      Use the bed’s raising and lowering functions.  4 The wireless handcontrol (IR) functions within a radius 2-5 metres from the lift.  5  •      Never lift manually – let the lift unit do the lifting.  Up  5 SSP Limit Switch  Cleaning When necessary, clean the lift unit with common water-based surface disinfectants.  2 3  Simple Troubleshooting  2 Electrical Emergency Lowering/Raising  Check the following: •       Emergency Stop is not pressed in. •       The battery is charged. The lifting motion is interrupted when load on the lift strap is biased or when the lift strap is twisted. The Limit Switch also functions as a squeeze protection.  6  R2R  7  Quick-release Hook  6 7 Alternative Slingbar Connection Press the respective button on the side (end plate) of the lift unit. Ensure that emergency lowering is done in a suitable location.  Safety Instructions • Read the instructions for both the patient lift and the lifting accessories before use. • Plan the lifting operation carefully. • Before the patient is lifted from the underlying 		 surface, but when the sling straps are properly 		 extended, it is important to ensure that the 		 straps are correctly attached to the slingbar. • Max. load Likorall 242: 200 kg (440 lbs). 		 Max. load Likorall 243: 230 kg (507 lbs). 		 Max. load Likorall 250: 250 kg (550 lbs). To retain max. load it is essential to use accessories rated for the same max. load or greater.  IMPORTANT! These instructions for use do not replace the lift unit’s instruction guide, which can be downloaded from www.liko.com.  3 Mechanical Emergency Lowering (applies to 242 S/ES)  Press down repeatedly on the emergency-lowering handle. Ensure that emergency lowering is done in a suitable location. To reset Remove load from the lift strap. Hold the emergencylowering handle down at the half-way position while at the same time turning the black knob clockwise.  6.      The R2R slingbar has hooks for two lift       straps to enable transfer between two       lift units.  •       The mechanical emergency-lowering device has been reset. For more information on various alternatives, read the instruction guide for the lift unit.  Charging of Batteries  • Charge the lift unit regularly after use.  www.liko.com  • The lift unit does not function during charging. • Ensure that the Emergency Stop (see 4) is not pressed in during charging.
