Allen®  Lift-Assist® Beach Chair Set Up Reference Sheet  2 ATTACH THE CLAMP  1 PREPARE THE TABLE Head Section  C  Leg Section  C  B  A  X-Ray Tops  A. Ensure table is in its final location and locked. B. Remove X-ray tops. C. 	Remove or lower the head (PREFERRED) or leg section of the table.  A. Place the Lift-Assist Beach Chair Easy Lock Clamps on the OR rail closest to the rail stops. B. Make sure they are at an even position on the rails on both sides.  3 ATTACH THE BEACH CHAIR A  B  B  A. 	Remove detachable panels and headrest from chair. Pick up the Beach Chair from the Beach Chair Cart and slide onto the Beach Chair Easy Lock Clamps on the OR Table, be sure that the metal posts on the clamps nest correctly on the Beach Chair.  B. Look laterally at the Beach Chair Tightening Post and make sure you see green. If you see red you are getting a false positive indicating the chair is not correctly nested on the clamps. The posts on the clamps themselves should be nested and flush with the top of the Beach Chair Attachment. C. Then tighten the Beach Chair to the clamps completely.  4 POSITIONING THE PATIENT  A B G  H  C A. Reattach the detachable panels. Using the Red Lift-Assist Handle, on the back of the beach chair, unlock the Chair and lower the Chair down to a lateral position or flat/supine position. B. Make sure the Intubation Pad is attached to the Telescoping Head rails. C. Before transferring the patient, size the patient up to the Chair, sliding the Intubation Pad up or down so that the center of the back of the head will set comfortably on the Intubation Pad. D. Transfer the patient using standard hospital practice. Place patients hips where the Beach Chair pad meets with the surgical table pad.  Copyright 2012 Allen Medical Systems, a Hill-Rom Company. Take the Chair up to the desired degree of recline for the surgeon using the Red Lift-Assist Handle on the back of the Beach Chair. H.
