Achieve the  BEST  Patient Warming Results  Body Surface Area Early Start Sensor Contact Thin Barrier  SURFACE AREA B Warm asBODY much surface area as possible. Warming the core is more effective than the periphery. Can use a mattress and up to two blankets simultaneously.  E  EARLY START Start warming as soon as the patient arrives in the OR. HotDog is air-free, so no need to wait until the patient is prepped and draped to begin warming.  Shown: B103 Lower body B105 Multi-position U102 Mattress  SENSOR CONTACT S Ensure that the  sensor is in contact with the patient.  T  THIN BARRIER Use the thinnest barrier possible between the patient and the warming blanket. Examples include: patient’s gown, sterile plastic drape, or single-layer cotton sheet.
