We are aware of non-approved service agents who have used what they thought were correct actuators but which had different stroke and load ratings to the genuine LiftCare parts and caused expensive and extensive damage to beds as well as exposing patients and staff to unnecessary risk . Likewise, remote handsets-some of our motors have specific wiring configurations. Use of handsets not supplied by LiftCare, and specific to the serial number of the bed, can result in the reverse operation of certain electrical functions of the bed and expose users to safety risks. When ordering service or parts, always supply the bed’s serial number and model, together with a description and part code to ensure correct supply and/or service call.

~Warranty ~ This LiftCare Bed is warranted against manufacturing defects for a period of ten years on the steel frame and five years on other parts other than battery, provided the bed is assembled, operated and maintained in accordance with the bed’s Instruction Manual. It excludes fair wear and tear & normal maintenance requirements, such as replacement of batteries, accidental breakages, or claims due to physical or operational mishandling. This warranty covers parts and labour on the bed structure and standard LiftCare accessories only. Consequential and other costs such as transportation to and from the repair base are not covered. Any service or other work, or interference with the bed, its components or operations, other than that by currently authorized LiftCare service personnel, may invalidate this Warranty.
This catalogue contains most normally required parts. Should the steel frame or mattress platform of a bed be damaged in service, LiftCare will repair rather than replace the damaged sections, as there have been several different models due to LiftCare’s continuous improvement policy and it would be impractical to cover every part. LiftCare is committed to a continuous improvement policy and reserves the right to change specifications and parts without notice.

How to recognise your model LiftCare Bed
Current Models
P5 Premium with CPR Quick Release Years of Manufacture: (from November 2010) Serial No: Cxxxx or CPRxxxxx Model No: P5 Serial numbers (required for service) were usually placed at the head end of the bed above the green castor on the top beam under the mattress platform.
Protean Series 3 Years of Manufacture: 2007- Serial Nos: P6xxx or PCxxxxx The Protean 3 is Vanilla in colour, has matching powder coated extrusions and no top handle to allow easier patient head access for resuscitation. Serial numbers (required for service) were usually placed at the head end of the bed above the green castor on the top beam under the mattress platform.
Protean High Protection System (Protean 3) Year of Manufacture: 2008Serial Nos: Pxxxx The Protean 3 High Protection System was designed to offer high levels of protection for the person in the bed through the addition of padded head and footboards and strong padded side panels. The side panels are fixed to the bed with brackets which lock onto the mattress platform.
Floorline® 600 Year of Manufacturer: From Mid 2008 Serial Nos: Fxxxx or FCxxxx Serial numbers (required for service) were usually placed at the head end of the bed above the green castor on the top beam under the mattress platform.

Protean 4 with CPR Quick Release Years of Manufacture: (from May 2009 to December 2010) Serial No: Cxxxx Model No: P4KB Serial numbers (required for service) were usually placed at the head
Protean High Protection System (Protean 2) Year of Manufacture: 2006-2008 Serial Nos: Pxxxx The Protean 2 High Protection System was designed to offer high levels of protection for the person in the bed through the addition of padded head and footboards and strong padded side panels. The side panels are fixed to the bed with brackets which lock onto the mattress platform.
LC 450 & 500 Year of Manufacture: 2005 & 2006 Serial Nos: LC 1xx Lxxxx The LC range consists of LC450 (built between 2003 & 2004) and the LC500. Some of these beds have LINAK electrics and some models (mainly 450’s have Dewert electrics) Serial numbers (required for service) were usually placed at the head end of the bed above the green castor on the top beam under the mattress platform.
Protean Series 1 & 2 Year of Manufacture: 2003 - 2008 Serial Nos: 5Pxxxx, 7Pxxxx, 9Pxxx, Pxxxx The Protean 1 and 2 are a very distinctive silvery grey colour (Brolga). There were three models: Protean 500; 700; 900. The major differences between models was the hi-lo range. Serial numbers (required for service) were usually placed at the head end of the bed above the green castor on the top beam under the mattress platform.
