Quick Instructions for Use: Preparation for Limax® 120 These quick instructions for use are intended as a quick reference guide only. You should still read and observe the complete instructions for use!
Unit rear Connect MCB cable to MCB interface of laser and to MCB interface of VAC smoke evacuator
Unit front NIST socket (AIR) insert air hose; connect the other end to the compressed-air outlet (AIR) of the operating theater
Control elements and display see next page Connect sterile air filter to Luer-lock socket AIR purge air, connect AIR connecting tube with supply fiber (required when using focusing handpieces and purged laser fibers)
To switch on the laser, turn key switch clockwise
Laser fiber with SMAplus plug, screw on tightly; ensure cleanliness
MCB interface for VAC smoke evacuator Interlock / Warning Connect plug with bypass, included in the delivery, connect door interlock alternatively; option: connect warning lamp contact
Indicator at the top right of the display changes from red to green when unit is switched on
Connect mains plug of VAC smoke evacuator to a separate socket
Connect foot switch
Connect mains plug of laser to a separate socket
Connect potential equalization cable and establish connection with the potential equalization system in the operating theater
Connect suction hose to VAC socket of smoke filter; if VAC socket is not used, close it with the cap supplied Attach suction tube to distal end of suction hose

Menu area contains a list of the four last used programs, program settings, log book, settings for VAC smoke evacuator and for AIR purge air, settings for the pilot laser as well as unit parameter, date and time settings
Computed display values Average power (W), number of pulses, laser duration (total treatment duration in h, min, s) and laser energy applied (J)
Filter life indicator PRESS rotary knob: to activate and confirm individual menu items
EMERGENCY STOP switch for emergency stop only. Pull to unlock and start laser surgery unit as usual.
TURN rotary knob: to select and change parameters Key switch for powering the unit on and off Vertical: OFF Horizontal: ON
