P. 1/4 Instructions of use for plaster saw OSCIMED 2000 1 Technical description 1.1 Electrical supply Electrical power is supplied from a socket by a cable which passes through a transformer reducing voltage to 24 VDC. The saw runs on this 24 VDC. 1.2 The electromechanical drive The oscillating movement of the blade is made by a DC motor and a mechanical device. This device converts the rotating movement of the motor shaft to an oscillating movement of the blade shaft. The motor is a special DC brushless model controlled by an electronic card fixed behind the motor. The advantage of this technology is the long life time without maintenance. 1.3 The cutting blades The blades are circular with a synthetic coupling center. This coupling ensures the low noise level of the saw. A special patented lock nut makes it easy to install or change the blade without use of any tool. For plaster of Paris casts, blades are in stainless steel with a white core. For fiber glass casts, blades are in hardened stainless steel with a blue core and for carbon casts, blades are in hardened stainless steel, TiN (yellow) treated, with a blue core. 1.4 Technical data Main voltage Electricity network frequency Power Cycle of use Length of the saw Diameter Weight Speed of the motor / frequency Oscillating angle of blade Stroke at the end of the blade diameter 65mm Length of power supply cable Length of 24 VDC cable Noise level European directive 2007/47/CE Protection Storage, carriage and use condition.
