Introduction This Clinical Reference Guide is designed to assist you to learn the NKV-550 Ventilator Series basic operations during the pre-implementation training class or as a self-study tool as you use the system on your clinical unit. It is also designed as a reference tool when you need a refresher for infrequently performed procedures. The Clinical Reference Guide the procedures refer to the NKV-550 Ventilator Series. A critical care ventilator designed for adult, pediatric or neonatal patients for use in a hospital or hospital-type setting. Ventilation is indicated for use on patients who require respiratory support, such as invasive ventilation, non-invasive ventilation and oxygen therapy. This Clinical Reference Guide is an adjunct to the Operator’s Manual and does not replace it. Please refer to that manual for critical, technical, and other specific information, and for additional information as directed in this guide. For additional assistance, please contact your hospital biomedical services representative. For technical or clinical product assistance, a tollfree customer support service is provided at 1-800-325-0283.
