UCR ENDOSCOPIC CO2 REGULATION UNIT Quick Reference Guide V 2.0 Nov 2019

SETUP 1. Use the MAJ-902 water bottle which has an additional connection on the lid for the C0² tubing

2. Select the desired Gas Tubing: − MAJ-1741 High Flow − MAJ-1742 Low Flow − MAJ-1816 Extra Low Flow Connect the end with the tag to the water bottle lid. Connect the other end to the Gas Outlet on the front of the UCR unit.

3. Select the desired Cylinder Hose: − MAJ-1080 − MAJ-1081 − MAJ-1082 Connect the cylinder hose pin to the gas cylinder bottle. Connect cylinder hose pin to the rear of the UCR, using a wrench to tighten in place.

4. Confirm that the endoscopic C0 ² regulation unit and the C0² gas cylinder are correctly connected and confirm turn on C0² gas bottle (turn dial in direction of ON as marked)

5. Switch C0² unit on: − Full green light bars will indicate sufficient gas supply − If there are less than 3 green bar lights the gas bottle is LOW and will require replacing soon − If gas supply lights are RED this indicates no gas. Check that the gas bottle in not empty or that the gas cylinder bottle is not closed

USE DURING PROCEDURE 1. To use C0 ² , simply press the START/ STOP button on the C0² unit. The green light under GAS FLOW on the C0 ² unit indicates gas is flowing. − Press the AIR button on the CLV-190 light source so that the green light illuminates on STBY (switches off) − This turns off the air to allow only C0 ² Note: If performing an upper GI scope case when C0 ² is not required simply reverse these steps: − START/STOP on the C0 ² unit to stop supply of gas − Turn on AIR button on light source − It is recommended that this also occurs between cases (eg. bedside cleaning of endoscope) so as to conserve gas usage

END OF DAY − Turn the dial on the gas cylinder bottle OFF to prevent gas wastage − Switch the C0² unit OFF − Remove the gas flow tubing and water bottle and reprocess according to manufacturer’s instructions
