WARNING: This guide is only a summary of the steps necessary to properly clean your endoscope. Be sure to follow the detailed steps outlined in the INSTRUCTION MANUAL that was included with your endoscope when purchased.

Remove balloon if attached. Detach the balloon by lifting up the rear band of the balloon after slightly inflating.
Aspirate detergent, then air, through the suction 1 and balloon 2 channels.11
Wipe down the insertion tube with a detergentsoaked cloth.

Feed water into the balloon 3 channel.
Install AW channel cleaning adapter. Flush water, then air, through air/water channels.

CAUTION: If a leak is detected, the endoscope must be repaired. Follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Flush detergent, then air, into elevatorwire channel.
Attach leakage tester. Turn on pump. Immerse endoscope in clean water. Perform leakage test (angulate tip). Remove from water. Detach tester from the air source. After the tip has deflated, detach the tester from the water-resistant cap.
Attach necessary waterresistant caps and plugs to the endoscope connector and ultrasonic connector.
Disconnect all detachable parts and cleaning equipment.

Immerse in freshly prepared detergent solution. Clean all external surfaces. Brush endoscope distal tip (and forceps-elevator, if applicable).
Brush the insertion tube portion of the suction channel. Repeat until all debris is removed.
Brush the universal cord portion of the suction channel. Repeat until all debris is removed.
Brush the suction cylinder and instrument channel port. Repeat until all debris is removed.
Brush the balloon channel. Repeat until all debris is removed.

Attach suction valve. Aspirate detergent, then air into suction and balloon channels.
Attach injection tube & channel plug (or all-channel irrigator). Flush detergent solution into air, water, and balloon channels. Brush forceps-elevator, if applicable.
Flush detergent solution into elevatorwire channel.
Soak in detergent solution for the time recommended by the detergent manufacturer.
Rinse the entire instrument in clean water.
