How to Use 1. Place mattress directly onto bed platform (no need for mattress underneath) 2. Mount the Duet pump at the foot end of the bed and connect the air hose to the socket on the pump 3. Thread the power cord through the cable loops on the side of the mattress 4. Before inflation, ensure the CPR release on the mattress is “CLOSED” 5. Turn power on at the power point. On the side of the pump, switch ON the POWER switch 6. Press the POWER button inflate

To ‘Unlock’ the Control Panel The control panel will lock itself automatically after 2 minutes and the yellow LOCK OUT light will appear. To unlock, hold the
button for a few seconds until the
LOCK OUT light goes out.
Setting the Comfort Level The Duet has an adjustable comfort level. To adjust, use the
buttons.
Number 1 is the softest setting and 10 is the firmest.
Setting the Mattress MODE Duet can operate in static or alternating mode. To choose, press the
button.
In alternating mode, you can set the cycle time from 3 - 20 minutes by pressing
TURN settings Duet has three Turn modes and a Rest (flat) mode. To choose, press the button. The large light indicates the set mode, the small light indicates the current position. “Full turn mode” cycles from L to flat to R and back again continuously. The “Left” and “Right” turn modes cycle between flat and the side selected continuously. The turn cycle may be set from 3-20 minutes, and at 30, 45, 60, 75, 90 minutes by pressing the
button. If both “alternate” and “turn” modes are active, you can
switch the display between them by pressing the
button.
FIRM button To temporarily stabilize and firm the mattress for patient care, press the button.
For CPR In an emergency, twist the CPR release to deflate the cells immediately.
