CADD Legacy series Discontinuation Notice June 2022

June 10, 2022 Subject: Important Discontinuation Notice for CADD™-Legacy PCA, CADD™-Legacy 1 and CADD™-Legacy Plus models Dear Valued CADD-Legacy Customer, Thank you for your continued support of the CADD-Legacy ambulatory infusion pump system. We appreciate your choice to use ICU Medical products to provide infusion therapy for your patients. Our goal is to develop innovative products that meet your current and future infusion therapy needs. As infusion therapy technology advances, we strive to incorporate these innovations into our products to provide a more robust, feature-rich product with greater functionality. Effective December 31, 2022, ICU Medical is discontinuing the sale of CADD-Legacy PCA (model 6300), CADD-Legacy 1 (model 6400) and CADD-Legacy Plus (model 6500) ambulatory infusion pumps and CADD Sentry Medication Delivery Manager Software. Depending on component availability, service and repair for these products will be available through December 31, 2027. The difficult decision to discontinue the CADD-Legacy PCA, CADD-Legacy 1, and CADD-Legacy Plus pumps was made after carefully considering several factors, including our customers’ current and evolving infusion needs. Smiths Medical (now ICU Medical) launched the CADD™-Solis infusion system for pain management (PCA and PCEA) and CADD™-Solis VIP pumps to meet the requirements of our customers and healthcare industry thoughtleaders. We are pleased to report that many customers have responded with enthusiasm and have effectively transitioned from CADD-Legacy to CADD-Solis pumps for more than ten years. The CADD-Solis platform provides important enhancements, including protocol libraries (Drug Error Reduction System) and wireless connectivity to allow interoperability with the EHR. The CADD-Solis VIP includes five delivery modes to meet your home infusion needs. ICU Medical would like to thank you for using CADD-Legacy ambulatory infusion pumps as a part of your infusion program.
