PneuPAC transport ventilator BabyPAC B100 and BabyPAC B10 Service & Calibration Equipment Smith’s Medical has recently made changes to the instruction on test equipment (ratePAC) used during testing and calibration of pneuPAC BabyPAC B100 and B10 Models. The ratePAC (fig 1) device was required to measure both Inspiratory and Expiratory Time in seconds. Unfortunately due to recent changes in regulatory and CE marking requirements, company decided to stop manufacturing ratePAC.

Alternatively, TSI Certifier FA Plus 4080 (manufactured by TSI) has been tested and validated as a suitable replacement for ratePAC. This test device (TSI Certifier FA Plus 4080) contains more test applications compared to ratePAC. Advantage of the TSI Certifier FA Plus 4080 is that several service tests can be performed simultaneously. For instance Inspiratory & Expiratory tests can be performed at once, in addition the test equipment offers a reduction of service time. With the optional 4073 kit you will be able to check the oxygen concentration.
Figure 2: TSI Certifier FA Plus 4080 Details below show instructions on how to connect the TSI FA Plus to the babyPAC and the settings required to perform required tests i.e. How to access the main menu and setting the required trigger points.
