LASERVAC 850™ ERBIUM LIQUID TRAP (LVLTE850) REPLACEMENT DESCRIPTION
The erbium liquid trap (LVLTE850) is a cautionary measure to protect the LASERVAC 850 from the accidental ingress of any potential liquids. The liquid trap inserts directly into the Laservac 850 cabinet and is held in place by the primary filter. The transfer tube fits directly onto the liquid trap.

LASERVAC 850 consumable parts are manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001 quality management procedures.
APPLICATIONS
The erbium liquid trap should be used for erbium applications only. If inadvertently used for other applications it should be discarded immediately as per the standard liquid trap instructions and replaced with an erbium liquid trap. RETAIN BAG FOR DISPOSAL OF USED ERBIUM LIQUID TRAP (LVLTE850) REPLACEMENT
To avoid contamination and the associated health risk, care should be taken when replacing any contaminated consumable component. Protective clothing (gloves and face mask) should be worn when replacing any consumable component. The component must be sealed in a *Plastic bag and, disposed of responsibly in accordance with standard clinical procedures. Protective rubber gloves should be worn while replacing any consumable part. The erbium liquid trap inserts directly into the cabinet and is held in place by the primary filter. 1. 2. 3.

Switch the LASERVAC 850 off at both the membrane control panel, the rear control panel and remove the electrical plug. Remove the primary filter (LVPF850) by turning the colour coded knob, on top of the primary filter, anti-clockwise to the “unlocked” position. Lift the primary filter out of position, if liquids are present the primary filter should be changed as a matter of course. (See instruction leaflet 04 196 001 01 supplied with a new filter). Remove tubing from the front of the erbium liquid trap. Fit plugs (if supplied) to the erbium liquid trap. Remove a new erbium liquid trap from its plastic bag and retain packaging. Lift the used erbium liquid trap out of position. Place the used erbium liquid trap into the retained plastic bag and apply the supplied bio-hazard label to the outside of the plastic bag and seal for disposal. Before replacing any consumables part, check all cabinet surfaces and recess areas. If necessary clean in accordance with the Instruction and Maintenance Manual and Hospital / Clinic procedures. Place the new erbium liquid trap in position. Replace the primary filter (LVPF850).
The erbium liquid trap must form a seal with the primary filter for maximum performance and safety. 12. 13.
Re-connect the electrical plug and switch the unit on at the rear panel and the membrane control panel. Connect required tubing to erbium liquid trap and start the machine motor, by pressing the “up” arrow to the required speed.
