Hillrom is working tirelessly to deliver products to our customers, caregivers, and patients as quickly as possible. As of today, we are currently facing extended lead times of 45+ days in our Physical Exam and Diagnostics portfolio, specifically with our legacy Welch Allyn® MacroView® otoscope and legacy Universal Desk Charger. As a result, we will be discontinuing these impacted part numbers as of December 31, 2021. We will continue to accept orders up through December 31st and will fulfill all open orders by March 1, 2022. However, due to extended lead times we strongly encourage that customers transition to our new alternative part numbers, especially if there is an urgent need for the products within the next 45+ days. New Product Launch: As previously announced, Hillrom is excited about the recent launch of new enhanced configurations of our Integrated Wall Systems, Connex® Integrated Wall Systems, Desk Sets, Diagnostic Sets, and individual components. Many of these sets feature the new enhanced Welch Allyn PanOptic™ Plus Ophthalmoscope and MacroView® Plus Otoscope to support clinicians and health systems with the following features and technologies: • Long-lasting LED illumination for brighter views and added reliability • Option to digitally capture and share images of the ear exam for consultation • Quick Eye™ Alignment indicator lights designed to help support better alignment to the optic disc • Built tough with Welch Allyn Durashock Technology • Large viewing areas to help visualize more of the eye or ear anatomy • Backwards compatibility with existing Welch Allyn 3.5V power handles Please see the following pages of this letter for the list of affected part numbers and the new enhanced part numbers and descriptions.
