HiQ+ Laparoscopic Instruments Disassembly Guide STEP 1 Completely open the handle.
STEP 2 With the handle fully opened, press down on the red release button.
STEP 3 Pull apart the jaw insert and shaft component from the handle. NOTE: A twisting motion may help facilitate the separation of the two components.
STEP 4 Anchor the jaw insert with your left hand then rotate the shaft counter-clockwise a half-turn to dislodge the jaw insert from the insulated shaft.
STEP 5 Remove the jaw insert from the insulated shaft. NOTE: Push down on the red release button if disassembling bipolar instruments.
STEP 6 Remove the red sealing cap on the insulated shaft and the black sealing cap from the handle. Prepare for cleaning and sterilization.
